it's got to become a meme that Palin is afraid of news conferences and interviews: the longer Obama waits on this, the worse off for his campaign. This is an easy issue to exploit, and I hope the Dems don't let this opportunity pass ...

how is this speech by Palin going to be revelatory of much of anything? it won't be written by her, and presumably will be 100% safe--not like an unscripted press conference ...

indeed, no need to go after her; focus on McCain, including his temper, his wanting to bomb Iran, his being more Bush than Bush ... Palin will self-destruct. I feel sort of bad for the lady, who seems nice enough. But when you realize that she accepted the offer from McCain, that she really thinks she can do this, that she has no idea of what she's getting in to, that she is utterly clueless, well, then the feeling sorry sort of dissipates ...
