Story of Night
The Huckabee story is certainly a big one. But equally big is Obama's wins tonight. I know he was expected to win in the three Democratic contests tonight, but he was he expected to win by the overwhelming numbers he...more »

It's because if the Senate threw out all the lying crooks (e.g. Ted Stephens) only liberals would be left.

Here's an idea. Legalize vote buying (aka bribery). It would be a stimulus package without increasing the deficit, it would cut down the the amount available for robo-calls and ads, and the money would go to some people who need it more than the ad companies and consultants. If it were legal it could take the place of polling and voting - just keep track of the amount handed out - the best briber wins.

C'mon folks - the 11PM lie was sleep deprivation. Before that it was SAD (seasonal affective disorder), PTSD (attacked by imaginary snipers), anxiety attack, and bad hair. It could have happened to anyone.

Actually letting PA & NC Republicans cross over to vote for Hillary could well be very democratic. Many of them may prefer her over McCain - he was at least decent enough to refrain from cheap shots over the Wright thing.
Hillary, Limbaugh, and the ditto-heads are increasingly working at the same level, on the same wavelength - attacks, dirt, slimy dishonest innuendo, belief that the ends justify the means, and twisted sophistry to support the insupportable. The ditto-heads may actually be voting their choice when they cross over.

Facts are over-rated. The sniper story is much better - if I were Hillary I'd stick with that one.

I too was besieged by high gas and heating bills. One phone call to Hillary and its fixed. All my energy needs are free now, and to top it off she arranged to have the CEO of Exxon-Mobil come over every week and wash my car. She's a miracle worker.

Clinton's mismanagement of her campaign totally contradicts her claim of being experienced and ready on day one. Frank Rich's comparison of Clinton's mismanagement of her campaign to Rumsfeld's mismanagement of Iraq was very apt. Will she manage taxpayer money the same way she managed her donations? Is her campaign's inability to see two moves ahead and react effectively indicative of what a Clinton administration would do? Clinton's campaign is one of the few big efforts she has really managed (another is her health care task force). Publicly failing at running a campaign demonstrates the hollowness of the claim of being ready. Obama might want to point this out.

I am so tired of Hillary Clinton talking about her accomplishments; about her work. What exactly are her solid accomplishments in the Senate? Co-sponsoring bills? Put that on a resume and see how many people are impressed. Did she get anything substantive done since she has been there? The Democrats haven't so how could she? And isn't this what it is about between her and Obama? Do we want 8 more years of futile grinding? Maybe she deserves a gold star for effort, but I do not see the accomplishments, as First Lady, or as Senator. Maybe someone with a little charisma and a new approach can actually accomplish something tangible, something that goes beyond supporting bills that go nowhere except on her list of "accomplishments". Maybe Obama is right about needing to lead people to get substantive things accomplished. I think he is.
