Jefferson-Jackson is a statewide event and Raleigh is the state capital. The most logical explanation for a strong Obama crowd is a whole lot of genuine enthusiasm for Obama. Hillary seems to win much of her public support with demands of owed loyalty, threats and intemidation. Obama inspires.
I think when Hillary finally leaves the campaign stage, even many of her allies will breathe a great sigh of relief. While many people are loyal to the Clintons because of past or expected favors, not many people like them, and most people do not respect the kind of campaign they have run.

Liam thanks for this, "stubborn" is exactly the Bush characteristic that Hillary is emulating.
Stubborness joins a growing list of Bush-Clinton shared behaviors: dishonesty, distortion, arrogance, anti-intellectualism, cronyism, loyalty over competence, nepotism, secretivness, insulation, pandering, aluff, mean-spirited, war-mongering, misjudgment

Of course this legislation won't pass. Hillary knows it won't, and so do the Oil companies that support her. More pandering.
I hope it backfires. Now with legislation in the pipeline, Hillary can show her leadership. She's a fighter.
So, get this bill passed Hillary. Show us how tough you are, how you will manage Congress when you are president. The vote on this bill should be a referendum on your capacity to lead. Or will it be another legislative fiasco like your health care plan in the 1990s.

bdiddy, Hillary is not honest. Trying to put logic behind her simplistic pandering makes you look dishonest too. American public policy has encouraged individual Americans, our government and our whole society to live beyond their means, seriously beyond their means. This nation is running at high speed on a credit card issued by China.
Why not use the gas price crunch as an opportunity to educate Americans that they can't chronically spend money they don't have and then expect the government to fix their lives when the bills come due. That would be honest.
Hillary is not honest. She is not a leader who cares about the future of the nation.

Now that the shameless pandering Hillary is introducing legislation, she should be held to strict account for its passage. Here is the opportunity to demonstrate how she would lead and work with Congress. Show us Hillary, how you would work to persaude Congress to support your legislative initiative. The measure of success is not token effort, but RESULTS.
Hillary has taken a new chapter out of the Bush-Rove playbook. She's now George Bush with a blonde dye-job and a skirt: the good ol' girl. It will be interesting to see if she can fool voters the way Bush did. Has America learned nothing in the last 8 years.
Heaven help us if she succeeds.

Reposting from above:
Obama has addressed the issue of racism in America the divisive, offensive remarks of Rev. Wright, and Obama's relationship too him.
Clinton supporter Sir Elton John recently said, with Bill and Hillary at his side: "I never cease to be amazed at the misogynistic attitude of some people in this country. And I say to hell with them." Hillary has herself often alluded to her struggles as a woman against evil men.
Is it time now for Hillary to show some courage, too, to make a major speech about misogyny in America, to address spefically the accusations of Bill Clinton's serial offenses against women, and her decision to maintain their relationship and to accept and even enable his behavior?

Hillary is giving us an excellent example of her leadership. With the nations transportation infrastructure failing, she proposes to cut the primary resource for funds to repair highways and brdiges. She is pandering for votes, not talking straight about the consequences of an over-consuming society and the need to sacrafice.
It is one more example of the type of judgment she exercised in voting for war in Iraq: not weighing what the evidence tells her and what is best for the nation, but weighing what is expedient and best for Hillary Clinton.
Enough. We need a leader. Hillary is not a leader.

Bill Clinton has become a reviled figure for many Americans who once admired him.
He has forfeited the opportunity to become a senior statesman by selling his influence to the highest bidders for personal financial gain at the nation's expense.
He has abidcated his responsibility as a former president and current leader of his party to conduct a mean-spiritied, self-interested, dishonest, damaging campaign against a Democratic candidate whose only offense has been aspiring to lead and challenging Mrs. Bill Clinton for the presidency.
Bill Clinton will go down in history as the president who had an affair with an intern, lied under oath, got Impeached, sold influence to become a mega millionaire, and tried his best to prevent Barack Obama from becoming president. Great job, Bill.
