Ah, sorry , but I did see Hillary wear a Yankee's hat so she is totally disqualified in this analogy. I am a Cub's fan and my brother is a Sox fan. I give him props, because while I could watch on WGN with a clear signal, he had to watch WFLD which gave the snowiest, suckiest signal imaginable. His team finally won--rock on and hats off to the White Sox..

I don't know what the fuss about Al's writing is all about. My God didn't Cheney's wife write some soft porn novel w/ some girl on girl sex in it? Real pornograpy is the lies that got us into this war. Real porn is the recovery from Hurricane Katrina. Real porn is our economic condition. Real porn is the housing market. Real porn is the cost of health care. Real porn is out sourcing and off shore tax shelters. Real porn is our government for the last 8 yrs. Sanctity is Minnesota realizing what has been going on, and turning back to a solid blue state and rejecting the falsehoods of a Republican candidate and party. You go Al, dont be a whimp. My congressinal district has run such weak candidates against Kline, now we got a tough one that will give Kline a run for his money. That is what Franken needs to do, fight back.

Amen, to that. I have great respect for Al. I do not like that some of the DFLer's who have been critical of him were supporters or co-chairs of his opponents read: Cong. Betty McCollum. Coleman is a slimeball, everyone knows about his thing for the ladies ( he made a pass at my friend's wife, when he was mayor. My friend wanted to deck him, but he figured his wife would lose her job, because it was a city event and it would turn into a he said - she said thing. I just dont know why the press always has given Coleman a pass on these things. Hell, his wife aspired to be an actress and model and did some strange modelling in some Washington publication, shortly after he took office. Publish those photos along w/ photos of Coleman being all huggy-bear w/ Bush. AL writes SATIRE, one of the highest forms of comedy. Al has been campaigning around the state for a long time and he had a booth at the State Fair ( which is kind of a big deal, we have one of best attended fairs in the country).
Things can change right up to and past the nomination. Hey, Al just stay away from pool parties where underage girls are swimming and if you don't, keep your comments about their bikinis to yourself.Posted at June 6, 2008 3:14 PM in response to Franken Apologizes For Writing "Porn-O-Rama" Essay In Playboy

What excites me the most about Barack, is the fact he taught constitutional law at U of Chicago!!! What a refreshing thougt someone in the White House that knows the Constitution and does not plan to walk all over it. I would also like to give props to Dr. Dean for being one of the 1st candidates to use the web and the grassroots reach. Props to Obama's team for expanding and refining the methodology to bring us this victory and change.

I just got back from the Obama rally. God, what a crowd I stood in line for 4 hours ( kind of reminded me of general admission shows at the ol' Aragon ballroom shout out to Chicago). What a happy and friendly crowd,I made new friends, of course that can tend to happen when you stand w/ the same people for 4 hrs. Security was tight and took time to get through the bag search and metal detectors. Damn, I always get pulled aside be it a presidental rally or the airport. The Obamas took the stage, (Michele Obama was stunning, I should have looked so good after 2 kids). There were many standing ovations during the speech, but I was so impressed by the words of respect he gave Hillary Clinton. I remember being in Chicago for a family affair, and watching C-Span and the repeat of his announcing his canidacy from Springfield IL. Setting forth his longshot campaign a few steps from the site of the home of one of the greatest presidents that probably ever served, Abraham Lincoln. He claims victory on the same stage that McCain will stand on in a few months. Say, what you will, but history was made tonight and we should be proud.

I hate credit cards. I have a restaurant and of course everyone pays by credit or debit. Every transaction I am charged a percentage. This adds up into the tens of thousands of dollars. I am a small business and I try to curb my costs. I have to take credit cards, I have to have terminals that cost at least $800.00 to run transactions. I am obligated by the credit card companies to take any transaction whether it be for $1000.00 or $1.00. I have some customers whose cards are declined and then they pull out a bunch of cards and pick one out and say, " Here try this one". When I went to college orientation for my son at the Univ of MN, they pushed us to get a TCF card and link it to his student ID to pay for all his expenses. Damn, I had to graduate from college, get a job before I was even considered for a credit card, and then I had to get a dept.store card Sears and work my way up to Visa. I cannot tell you how many creditors I have had call, looking for some of my former employees that are behind in their balances. I would also like to be able to make a purchase in a major store with cash or a check and not be asked, " Would you like to open a store name credit card?". I allways reply , " No, I dont like receiving bills in the mail, so I lke to pay now." That usually brings a smile to the cashier.
I wish consumer education was a mandatory course for high school students. I had to have a course in order to graduate from high school in Illinois back in 75. I have never regretted having to take that course, it taught me about budgeting and finances and consumer loans.Posted at June 2, 2008 12:33 PM in response to Wells Fargo Reads TPMCafe

I too will never feel the same about the Clintons. I feel as if they took all the dirty tricks from the republican game book and applied them to the Obama campaign. I became afraid that if Clinton did become president, what means would she use to push through her agenda in Congress. What about payback? The nation needs to heal and come back together. I do not see the Clintons being capable of fostering that. Yes, I would have loved to see a woman in the White House, but Hillary is not the one. Another, far better candidate will come along. Props to Donna Brazile and how her mama taught you follow the rules and dont change them in the middle of the game.

Ohhh..... I wish I could be there!!! I have to work, we own a restaurant in Mpls. If anyone on this post goes, please write about it afterward. I would give anything to see Barack on the big jumbotrons at Excel Center ( quite an excellent venue, I saw Springsteen there last month, and the Rock the Vote Tour w/ surprise guest Neil Young). Jeez to think Obama will probably kick off his nomination there is incredible. Cant wait for the RNC convention, they'll keep all their money downtown. I guess you cant rent a room within 20 miles of the Twin Cities during the convention days. The only up side is the 35W bridge will be appear to be done, it will not carry traffic yet. Smoke and mirrors, false images just want Pawlenty and ol' Norm Coleman are famous for.

Can somebody dig up those two open letters that Keillor wrote shortly after Coleman took office? Coleman dared to compare himself to Wellstone and Keillor just ripped into him. Keillor in the last 2 election cycles has quietly campaigned for a lot of local Dems. He has often appeared at local rallies and fund raisers for the candidates.
