  • agreed. that photo creeps the hell outta me!

i also think that mccain's continued ambiguity as to his standing in the republican party and his "flip-floppy" (!) support of bush during the last couple year will not chide well with many republican voters. so really, anything that chips away at his base is good!

glad to see this poll this morning.

  • thanks. i really appreciate that.

i realize the comments i've previously posted have been inappropriate, rude, and ignorant. i apologize to anyone who was offended, and especially to those i offended with intent.

you know, while i'm being open, i should explain this sudden change of heart. i'm reading senator clinton's autobiography. but i can't bring myself to finish it. every day i try, i just stop and think that present actions aren't matching what's being described in the book. idealism is being contrasted by real-life dirty politics.

how many times did senator obama discuss monica? whitewater? the impeachment? perjury? ZERO. thank you, senator obama. but i can't say the same for you, senator clinton.

i've realized senator clinton and president clinton have pretty much ruined their standing in many communities around the country. my head tells me but my heart refuses to accept. but it's right there, out in the open. i was proud of the clintons, and instead hillary has chosen to make a mockery of herself - an educated, powerful woman, and she's reduced herself to illogical math counts and knowingly breaking rules. suddenly she says the delegate count minimum should change from 2,025? that's when something really clicked in me. the rules are not to be changed. respect them. if we all agree on it, then we change the rules. but don't change them to suit you, senator clinton. you know better.

if she gets the nomination at this point, there will be nothing honest about it. a win is voters casting your name. a backroom deal is not a win. it's not, senator clinton. maybe that's how things worked in the past, but not anymore. there is too much at stake. i've supported you from day one, since the first day that you announced your exploratory committee, and let me tell you now: that is not a win. i could never celebrate something like that. i just couldn't.

i don't know why i've suddenly vented here. it's been a long time coming, maybe.

sorry for treating this like a blog. but possibly this is a first step for me, to move on to something bigger...

  • honestly? yeah, i'm angry and disappointed. who doesn't want to see their candidate win? who doesn't feel angry when their candidate is demonized and bludgeoned to a pulp?

truthfully, i'll swallow my pride and back obama so that this country can have a democratic president. i do not want john mccain in office. i do not want ANY republican in the white house, for that matter. yes, i want clinton in office. but i can see her losing (no need to correct me with 'she already lost' - i can see that). what is it, my pride? maybe i can't accept her defeat and move my support until SHE quits. i need to see the headline. i need to hear her say, "i'm done," and then i can accept the defeat. i've tried reasoning with myself, but i just can't move from that.

i'm a person of color, and have seen the demagoguery spewing from mouths of neighbors and friends in small towns. i picture that unfolding across this nation. what will the republican party come up with to frighten the people of this nation? i know obama isn't a fucking muslim. and if he were, what do i care? why can't a muslim be president of this nation anyway?

i've seen obama take the high road many, many times. but how will his nature unfold when the republican machines goes into full effect? what will happen to his man? will he fight back? will he accept the dirty fighting once it seems truly necessary to do so? all i can think of is how hopeful we were that john kerry was going to win. there was no doubt about it. and look what happened.

when obama officially gets the nomination, i want him to win. i do. but are we being naive? does he REALLY stand a chance? i want him to. but my bitter perspective on politics...tells me otherwise.

  • klansmen? christ.

so you are generalizing an entire state of people now? gee, wonder what you would say about a state with a large population of black voters like, say, mississippi?

yeah, and hillary is the racist.

  • hmm. sure you are referring to the "typical white" supporters? remember when clinton threw her white grandmother under the bus?

    oh, wait...

  • well said, gotalife.

the obama supporters will be the ones crying after he loses to mccain in november. it feels terrible to write it, but it's true.

but of course, they'll blame the loss on hillary.

you can mark my words. we'll come back after the loss in november, and a big, fat "told ya so" will be waiting here.

america, wake up. only clinton can win this.

  • if hillary doesn't get the nomination, barack needs her on his ticket. he won't win without her. and if you think he can really beat mccain on his own in november, you're a dumbass.

he can never win. this nation will never vote him into office.
