  • anybody else here more than a little disappointed with the pusilanimous behavior of the so-called superdelegates? where are these stuffy cowards, proclaiming their wisdom and right to overturn the will of the mindless rabble of democratic voters, now that their party really needs them?

hillary cannot win this nomination. she is really hurting obama right now, and it seems obvious that this is her plan. he should be focussing on the general election, mapping out a victory strategy and preparing to go on the attack against the republicans.

this is what people talk about when they talk about the "un-electability" of the democrats. this race should have been a near cakewalk. instead, it is turning into a complete disaster. somebody had better do something quickly, before hillary has a chance to realize her plan of destroying obama's chances in november.

  • quick question: does anybody doubt that the ferraro issue provides a perfect window into why the democratic party has a knack for losing elections that it should win through sheer force of will? those of us who had experienced the democratic party at its pusillanimous best have spent the last several months wondering how they could possibly blow this very winnable election.

we finally found it: hillary will decide to clip the party in two along racial lines. then, for the coup de grace, the so-called superdelegates, in whose wisdom ordinary, lowly democratic voters are supposed to place their trust in the event that the rabble makes the wrong choice, will stand on the sidelines, smiling nervously as they watch the party ripped apart.

where is the outrage? hell, where is the self-interest? what scenario do these party elders keep playing out in their heads whereby hillary is somehow coronated through a non-democratic process and everybody closes ranks afterwards and sings songs of peace? what are they going to do? go to the convention with obama ahead in pledged delegates (which, despite the clinton campaign's incessant whining and attempts to change the rules to fit their floundering campaign, is still the only measure that matters), popular vote and states won before retreating to some back room where the group of mostly older, white men decide that it's hillary's turn?

let's assume that that indeed happens. who thinks that more than 5,000 blacks nationally will show up to vote in the general election? hillary will lose forty states without the black vote, which she is assured of losing if she disenfranchises the entire party.

don't fall for the clinton bullshit. there are rules that govern this primary. this is still a nominally democratic process. the clinton campaign tinkers with this at the peril of not only the party, but our country.

one problem in your seamless logic. ronald reagan was a popular governor FROM california. mccain is not from california. you hillary-heads are really living in a fantasy world at this point. wake up. hillary's already lost. she's going home with a big middle finger from the american electorate.

please. either pay attention to the election or go and masturbate on an exclusively-hillary-related website. hillary herself has consistently injected gender and race into the campaign. hillary is the only candidate that has repeatedly spoken about this race being historic for the identities of the candidates. hillary has also said on talk shows that she is excited to be the first serious female candidate for president.

bill clinton dismissed obama's victory in south carolina by comparing him to jesse jackson. i understand that it takes some kind of lunacy and ability to separate truth from fantasy in order to support hillary in the first place, but please try to understand.

bill clinton tore the democratic party apart when he was president. the democrats lost the mid-term election in '94 and were not heard from again until 2006. hillary is attempting to destroy the democratic party again, this time as punishment for not choosing her. it's fairly simple.

you lost. we win. go the fuck back to new york and run for your senate seat again. i have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of new york democrats that have a real bad taste in their mouths after seeing hillary w. clinton's campaign.

  • wow. i feel so much better now. i just read your profile and want to apologize profusely for my negative words towards you. i know that most mental institutions request that their patients not get worked up and overly excited, and i'm sorry if your little female brain was confused by the logic of my response.

fifty-five years old and still not human enough to move beyond your shallow and dead identity politics. sad. allow me to explain to you exactly what is happening in this primary. you, hillary and the rest of you selfish baby-boom assholes are being politely pushed out of the public face and sent to the corner to continue your ridiculous culture wars from the sixties. a new generation has finally reared its head and has left tired and jaded people like you on the outside looking in.

for me, it's a wonderful development that people of your generation are being kicked to the side. you have proven yourselves time and time again to be the most selfish generation in the histroy of the country. global warming? fuck it. my grandkids can take care of that. deficits? i dunno. can't someone else do that? war in vietnam and growing presence of a police state? i know. i'll smoke weed, drop acid and fuck unitl all the badness goes away. and you have the audacity to criticize younger voters for the hope and optimism.

hillary's political career is now over. you will never see another woman running for president in your lifetime. and it is all your fault. people around the country have been listening to the shrill and whiny voices of feminists around the country since hillary started off on her long track toward mediocrity two years ago. we have roundly rejected you. your entire party no longer recognizes voices like yours as relevant.

go buy a fucking book by gloria steinham. lament the fate of ophelia. cry about the bell curve. shut the fuck up and bake a pie. i don't care what it is that you do. politics have passed you by. haven't you noticed the percentage of obama supporters on tpm? three months ago there were more hillary supporters than obama supporters. now it is approximately 95%-5% in favor of obama.

keep on talking and crying about the ignorance of men. go and ponder on why it is that women can't seem to get their shit together long enough to win a national campaign. every time you and people like you open their mouths or pound away on your keyboards, more people gravitate away from your camp.

take care. there will be a reward for you in heaven. i think god prefers the meek and the ignorant. but bitch, you will not inherit the presidency, much less the earth...

  • and you and the rest of your half-baked feminist group of die-hard hillary supporters have proven the extent to which your intellect has become unhinged from the rest of you. out of curiousity - is one of hillary's traps letting obama gain an insurmountable lead? that would be too clever by half.

grow up already? you and your battered wife of a candidate have absolutely no grip left on reality. "obama is a typical stupid man?" what the fuck does that make hillary? a stuck-up, unqualified succubus who has lost the democratic primary to a man whose name was not known on a national level only two years ago. way to use your feminine wiles and girlie intelligence to confound all of us typically stupid men.

do me a favor. when hillary is giving her concession speech at the convention, and we see the tears and bewilderment streaking her face, think of this exchange. it will be the last time in decades that a woman will make a serious run at the presidency. you and hillary have ensured that.

    thank you.

All you Obama supporters are missing the point - again. You are frustrated because the playing field isn't all men. Obama is a typical stupid man falling into every trap that Hillary sets.

Instead of wising up and staying on message - he walks into the trap again and again. Then all you men whine and cry and call Hillary names. "Oh that Monster - she beat us at our own game again! How dare she be smarter than us! Oh, she can't win! She should just quit! What terrible tactics!"

Grow up already. The problem with you men and Obama is that you don't know how to bob and weave. You just stand there and get belted. Then you whine. This is why Hillary will beat the pants off of little Barracky.

  • i particularly admire the insightful comments of the brave low-level pundit-in-chief josh marshall telling obama supporters to "get over it." this brilliant peon of the illiterati continues on to explain to people how politicking works. josh knows this because he watches a lot of political television in his office that's near some politicians. this guy is such an idiot that he even decides to share the insight that hillary has gotten into obama's head. really? how was that? did she get in his head when, over the course of two weeks of campaigning, he cut her enormous lead in both texas and ohio to virtually nothing? was she in his head when, in her two "firewall" states, she picked up an amazing five-ten delegates? is the fact that she cannot win the pledged delegate count a subtle and sneaky way of getting in his head, by making him think that he's going to win? ooohhh - those tricky clintons. you and the rest of the chattering nabobs that somehow make a living by spilling your ill-formed thoughts onto a computer screen have become such a joke these days. if you don't have anything serious to contribute to the conversation, then please go take some more pictures of your son and post them so we can pretend to care.

  • BillyGladhand - really? are you seriously referring to obama supporters as whiners? after each state that clinton loses, she goes and stands awkwardly at her podium and offers two or three reasons why that state's results are irrelevant. sometimes the state is too small and therefore beneath her to actually attempt to win. sometimes it bothers her that a state has a caucus system in place rather than a primary. now she has a problem with the rules (with which she agreed) that prohibit the seating of delegates from florida and michigan. of course, commander hillary didn't have the slightest problem with the way the primary system was set up when she looked at the election as more of a coronation.

do us all a favor and at least give the appearance of thought before posting something as wrong and misleading as your little whining comment.

Posted at March 7, 2008 11:49 AM in response to Report: Obama Adviser Calls Hillary A "Monster"

  • You're a fucking idiot. "Sir, have you no shame?" You gotta be kidding me. I will assume that in spite of your obvious ignorance, you know the origin of the quotation, and applying to to your illogical defense of Hillary is ridiculous. All of you Hillary supporters have lost your minds. You whine about the rules anytime they don't work in your favor. You whine about caucuses, crying about the fact that Obama wins them all - isn't there something illegal about that? You cry about small states - the very states that the Democratic nominee will have to win - because Hillary can't convince anyone of her sincerity or ability. You whine about Florida and Michigan - notice anyone else crying so much about the fact that Hillary is now trying to change the rules for her own benefit?

Hillary lost. HA! Her national political career is now over. I hope she enjoys her seat in the Senate, because that's as close to actual experience as she's ever going to get.

    Have a wonderful night.
