At least the headline as it appears on the homepage, not how it appears above. Again - Greg, stop with trying to sound hip. Ain't never gonna happen, buddy boy.

Fartknocker, "dropped off" is much different than "dropped", using your own example. And yes, Greg used "dropped" in a headline referring to Hillary's controversial commercial featuring Osama Bin Laden the other day. "Dropped" is known far more in popular lexicon as a way of denoting "removed," as in "we've since dropped that ad from our campaing." Apparently someone here at TPM agrees that the way it's used here is confusing, since the headline of the piece has now changed.

Greg, I'm not sure why you've twice now used the word "dropped" to indicate "produced." Maybe you're getting it confused with current slang involving a recording artist "dropping" a new tune into the airwaves or a DJ "dropping" a song into the mix, but saying Senator Clinton "dropped" this mailer or that she "dropped" that controversial commercial the other day implies that she has STOPPED USING the mailer and the commercial. The slang is completely inappropriate and badly used here, and only serves to confuse the topic. Quit trying to sound hip, you hopelessly nerdy nerd.

It's now front page center on Drudge...this should get interesting.

Cnn.com has now picked up the story and has a .pdf of the original letter. Clearly someone is spreading this around the media. I wouldn't be surprised if we see this making the rounds on the evening news shows tonight.

Senator Hillary Clinton's (Democrat, New York) address to the US Senate while voting YES to authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq:
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members...
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.
This is a very difficult vote, this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard, but I cast it with conviction."

I don't know where my comment ended up, but since I don't see it here, at the risk of seeming spam-ish, I'd love y'all to take a little trip down memory lane with Hillary (since it seems to imperative to help refresh hers lately) and bring her back to that incredibly important moment when she decided to toe the Republican party line as if she were reading a memo from Dick himself:

And since we haven't seen it blazing a trail through the MSM yet, why not spread it around ourselves?

Is there any particular reason we haven't seen this little gem of a video (Hillary's pre-Iraq invasion speech that sounds like it was written by Cheney himself) all over the Internet?

Polls schmolls. Wasn't it just before New Hampshire that the polls were so dead wrong? And as several others here have pointed out, A)It's thanks to the MSM constantly beating the Wright/racism issue over our heads that polls are fluctuating. Did you notice Anderson Cooper interviewing Obama the other night? He wouldn't let it fade, milking the "controversy" for all the ratings he could get; B) It's still months until the general election. Best to air out the dirty laundry now so it's old news (and so the Obama campaign can figure out an intelligent strategy to combat it) by then. It's obvious this is the Republican swift boat issue of '08, so may as well start crafting the responses. Btw, Greg's kinda cute. A bit of a cut-and-paster, but cute.

Oh, look! This article is once again headlined on the TPM homepage...but clearly a sex scandal trumps yet again, as the Spitzer story is top.
