It's great to see you posting here and on Huffpo as well. The points that you mention here expand on some of the issues that you outlined in the last part of "American Theocracy", which I found to be quite good.

I'm curious about how you see the role of Greenspan & Robert Rubin contributing to this fiasco, especially the repeal of Glass Steagall in 1999. Dick Armey also lent a hand as I recall, in 2000.

I realize that de-regulation of the financial industry has been ongoing for 30+ years, but in your opinion, how big of a factor has it been?

As a Pats fan, I'd say this about Rooney and the Steelers. I've never met any fans of any team who are more loyal than Steeler fans, and I've never heard any of them say a bad word about the Rooneys.

The Rooneys are also well respected by rival NFL organizations. In terms of longevity and excellence, maybe only the Mara's, owners of the Giants, are their equal.

Greenspan & Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin? They were the two guys that pushed for the repeal of Glass Steagall along with Sandy Weill (Citigroup).
After they finalized the repeal, Rubin immediately went to work for Citigroup. He's been there for the past 7 years, collecting $150 million, and now Citi is looking for a bailout from the Fed, while Rubin is talking about re-regulating banking!

Maybe Clinton should hire Rumsfeld to put together a plan to get us out of Iraq. These people are insane.

Um, she won the last 3 states ~ destardi

The last two states were Mississippi (March 11) and Wyoming (March 8), both won by Obama.

Before that was Ohio,Texas, Vermont, RI, all on March 4. Obama won in Texas and Vermont, so I'm not sure how you figure that Hillary won the last three.

Are you using the Karl Rove math?

Either way, Vegas should put a line out as to when she quits. I say it's before April 15th, so she won't have to release the tax records. If another prominent Dem endorses Obama between now and then, you can turn out the lights on Hillary.
