Obama, disrespect his grandma? Na, he's just begun referring to her as the "typical white person"....

Obama - Irreparably Damaged Goods and it just gets worse...

"Think back to the election of 1988" I can't believe any of the obamaphiles on this site were born before 1988.
By the way it wasn't the GOP that first ran the Willie Horton ad in the 1988 race -- it was Al Gore during the primary. The ad never cut with democrats, but republicans picked it up and ran with it in the general election and the rest they say is history.
Unfortunately for Obama and the obamaphiles, the Rev. Wright = Obama ads will cut with white democratic primary voters and right up through election day.
Obama - irreparably damaged.

National polls are meaningless at this point. Current state polls can have some utility when compared with historical results of democrat vs. republican.
What is clear from this poll is Obama is down 8 pts. and Hillary up 5 pts. for a 13 pt. swing. Three and a half weeks ago was prior to Hillary's victories in RI, TX and OH which could account for the wide gap in the previous poll.
I have to take issue with Kleefeld's assessment "The polls have been all over the place on just how badly the Wright matter hurt Obama, with this poll seeming to indicate the damage was real, but not too bad — though other polls have shown it to be somewhat worse." A 13 pt. swing is pretty bad. And when one considers that neither McCain nor Hillary has yet to run a Rev. Wright focused ad in a battleground state. But they're probably in production.
Obama is irreparably damaged by his 20-year association with Rev. Wright and his poor judgment in not disassociating from him sooner -- like 19.5 years ago, or at least in 2007, when Obama decided to run for president as a "new kind of politician."

YouTube? Hills ought to be running this on TV in PA, NC, KY, IN, and especially OR.
Who can believe this Obama guy? -- he's still talking about his judgment after the Rev. Wright lapse in ... you guessed it... Judgment.
Irreparably damaged -- Obama.

More delusional logic from the Obamaphiles -- "By the time of the general, this issue will be as buried as the hundred Clinton scandals out there."
Have you been living on another planet for the last 30 years?
If Obama's the nominee, he will face a republican named John McCain and several hundred of his 527 friends. In the last six days Obama has handed the republicans an almost unlimited suppy of ammunition to destroy him and the democratic party he proposes to represent, not for this election but for several to come.
Irreparably damaged -- Obama.Posted at March 19, 2008 10:10 PM in response to SurveyUSA: Obama Losing Big To McCain In Ohio, Missouri And Kentucky

More faulty logic from the Obamaphiles -- “Racist relatives"? Yeah, maybe like Obama's grandma? But do you go over to the racist relatives’ house every sunday for dinner for 20 freaking years? Not unless you’re just like Obama.
Irreparably damaged goods -- Obama.

You are truly naïve – the democratic part AND the republican would throw Mother Teresa, the Dali Lama, and Jesus Christ himself under the bus for a pass to the whitehouse. WAKE UP! democrats don’t win; democrats don’t govern. You want John McCain to appoint the next two maybe four supreme court justices? Nominate Obama.

Great -- you know you've got someone stumped when all she can do is criticize your nickname.. Typical Obamaphile -- all rage and no reason.

Polls are generally meaningless at this point. I say generally because I think there is some value in comparing the results of current general election polls to what has actually occurred historically between democrats and republicans in a given state -- typically it takes an extraordinary event to result in red state switching to blue in one election cycle for example.
What is clear today is that the Rev. Wright fiasco and his response to it have taken a toll on Obama, and in my opinion, will continue to do so. He's irreparably damaged goods. The euphoria over the speech, mostly by Obamaphiles will die down soon (may already have) and the tough questions for Obama will begin -- why the inconsistencies between the weekend interviews everywhere and the speech? What does this say about your judgment? How can you claim to be a different kind of politician when you waited so long to address the views of Rev. Wright? What’s the difference between Rev. Wright and Don Imus? Who are you, really?
Time for Obama to do the right thing for the democratic party and step aside and allow Hillary Clinton, the only democratic candidate who can beat John McCain in November, to claim the party’s nomination. At this point, I can’t even see the VP in Obama’s future -- irreparably damaged.
Obama has to do it for the good of the party.

No one knows the benefits of right timing better than Barack Obama. However, his timing today is all wrong. Make no mistake; Obama made this speech today because he had to. He made this speech today for absolutely no other reason than his own political survival.
This man is no savior; he is at his core a calculating, ambitious politician who is attempting to grab the democratic nomination without undergoing the intense examination that every democratic nominee has undergone over the last forty years.
This speech changes nothing. It is clearer now than ever, as a democratic nominee, he is damaged goods. He will never be able to withstand the attacks of the republicans. It's time for Obama to step aside and make way for a democratic nominee who can beat John McCain in November -- Hillary Clinton.
