  • Thanks for the overview.
Looks like Russia is likely feeling threatened and has a need for security and safety. So shouts to the world "back off".
It might help diffuse matters if the US agreed to remove the anti-missle systems from Poland and the the Czech Republic. Off course any retreating will be seen as a sign of weakness.

  • I agree completely with your statements.
If we are to survive. we the developed world will need to learn to live more simply. It's going to be hard especially when we have become so accustomed to our way of living and associated comfort. We must show the way to the rest of the world through sacrifice and true leadership.

If we don't do it willingly, then the impending stock market collapse will give us little choice in the matter. In the end cooperation & sharing not competition & commercialisation will save the world.

  • Thanks for the excellent post.

Looking at it from an astrological perspective:
Hillary is behaving in the old-Age Piscean way - individualistic, competitive and divisive, while Obama's approach is more Aquarius orientated - unifying, cooperative, and inclusive.

This is the new direction that the world is moving, and hopefully the USA will hop aboard and lead from the front.

  • I'm watching this primary closely from New Zealand
and what has struck me is Hillary's grasp of reality or lack of: Calling Obama an elistist and out of touch, Bosnia story, Obama as a whiner, Caucus states don't matter, small states don't matter, obliterating Iran, having the most popular votes despite Obama not on Michigan ballot, Pro Nafta and then not, Columbia and Penn, McCain a better Commander-in-Chief than Obama.

I've had enough of the last 7.5 years of a President who lives in their own separate reality
thus making poor judgements on how to create a better and more just world.

From what I've seen of Obama as a politician is that he sees a bigger more nuanced picture and is willing to look at all sides of a situation.

He is flawed of course, but still a better proposition than McCain and Clinton.
