  • Michael,

    What is it called when you "get" all the brilliant humor but are unable to partake yourself? Besides frustrating.

    I just love you guys!

  • Can't help but offer Bob Somerby's latest...quite relevant:

    www.dailyhowler.com

    Read all of it, but particularly "Welches at War" further down the page.

    Enjoy.

  • The press is not entirely at fault in our difficulty in determining Sen Clinton's opinions.

    You know when certain memes make it out into the ether they can be next to impossible to quash. This whole I don't know anything about Clinton meme is sooo comical. Do a little homework.

    Also stop asking from Hillary what you won't from any other candidate. These are professional politicians working in the political system of the United States. They all have their wishy-washy moments, answers that sometimes seem jumbled because they are trying to keep from giving the opposite party unecessary ammunition. They all do it. All! Even your favorite candidate...whoever it may be. (unless it's Dennis little green men Kucinich,{and I'm not talking leprechans!} in which case he really should learn to watch his answers!) ;^}

  • Well, it seems that Valerie Plame has written in her book that the FBI informed her of a threat to her personally by al Qaeda.

    I imagine they will quickly debunk this if and when they see fit. So implying it is a silly conspiracy theory might be premature.

  • Predicting the obvious...

    The vast majority of the U.S. media will make brief mention of why Gore won the Nobel then quickly shift gears to his weight, his "reinventing" himself, his presidential aspirations, maybe even his clothing...anything but Global Warming or climate change.

    I'm anticipating a few very annoying and frustrating days ahead.

  • There are a couple people above asking why Ford hasn't responded yet. I think I read in his first post that he was going to start tomorrow.

    "I hope we can get to those starting tomorrow."

    Maybe he meant specifically those 6 talking points, but I think he meant he'll be back tomorrow. Just a thought.

  • Let me see if I've got this right...42 Senators voted 'no' on Alito.  Presumably, that means 42 Senators didn't want him on the bench.  Yet they wouldn't filibuster?  They didn't filibuster because they were afraid the Republicans would change the rules to do away with the filibuster?  A filibuster rule exists, yet you're afraid to use it--or--a filibuster rule does not exist.  What's the difference?
