Let the Debates Continue...
The Wednesday evening debate has been the talk of the political town in large part due its tabloid nature. This isn’t to say that tabloid issues haven’t been a part of previous debates. But the previous debates did manage...more »

r u serious? Look up NC and find out whether or not it's considered a red state...
Then find out who's governed the state.
It's really clear that YOU are the one who doesn't follow politics...

Obama does not need to win WV in order to win this election. If his strategy works (and there's no reason to assume that it can't), then he can win this election hands down...

He can win in NC too. There are still a lot of voters who didn't participate in the primary who will vote in the general election. And if he gets a fairly good turnout from his new voter registration drive, he can seal the deal in NC.

I think it should be 50/50 too. I have friends/family that voted for HRC because she was a strong 2nd choice and at that time, they liked her. Now they wish they would've went uncommitted.
At this rate, she won't be able to run for governor...

He'll have a great chance since he will net about a 40% turnout from African Americans.
And if you think that voter registration has peaked - you have another thing coming. The Dems will see another wave of voter registrations in place before November. I'd bet money on it!

Rural in NC is not the same as rural in Penn. The biggest thing you should understand is that there are lots of AfrAm voters who live in rural NC. And last, while it's a safe bet that most rural white voters will go for Clinton, there will be some who won't. The rural areas are not a given for Clinton...

I agree with the fundamental premise of your post about John Edwards not having much influence over the NC electorate.
However, some voters in NC - particularly women - will listen to Elizabeth Edwards. I think she has more pull than her husband - especially with health care primarily due to her own health care issues. She has become the "face of cancer" for a lot of folks, so when she speaks - people do pay attention.
But I would be surprised if they endorsed anyone publicly. I too think they are leaning towards Clinton, but don't want to risk being publicly embarrassed if Obama carries the state.

Just in...a Charlotte tv station won't play the Obama ad neither.
This TV station is a prime example of the "it bleeds it leads" syndrome. For them to be offended enough not to run an add, it's really saying something!
