  • As I understand it, TPM was provided with a copy of the e-mail, from a recipient, that the Obama campaign sent out requesting resume submissions. They did not contact TPM about the subject, or request their help.

  • I urge Gotalife, Otto, and Matthew Weaver to submit their resumes. Obama headquarters can always use the extra toilet paper.

  • The polls show that McCain would also take West Virginia by a wide margin over Hillary, so that renders tomorrow's results meaningless.

  • Of course she can still pull it out, provided she still has the three testicles that James Carville discovered. How else will she pee, without pulling it out.

    Senator Obama's press secretary's response:

“Wouldn’t taking his advice be a little like getting health tips from a funeral home director?” said Mr. Obama’s press secretary, Bill Burton.

It is starting to look like The Republicans Convention may be the one that ends up being one of The Big Fat Pillbilly's Nightmares.

Ron Paul's forces quietly plot GOP convention revolt against McCain

Virtually all the nation's political attention in recent weeks has focused on the compelling state-by-state presidential nomination struggle between two Democrats and the potential for party-splitting strife over there.

But in the mTexas Rep. Ron Paul and his libertarian-minded GOP backers are collecting delegates at the local level and planning a revolt against Sen. John McCain at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in Septembereantime, quietly, largely under the radar of most people, the forces of Rep. Ron Paul have been organizing across the country to stage an embarrassing public revolt against Sen. John McCain when Republicans gather for their national convention in Minnesota at the beginning of September.

    McCain Of The Panderosa.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0508/Obama_on_McCain_speech_Breathtaking_not_in_a_good_way.html

    Excerpt:

It is truly breathtaking for John McCain to talk about combating climate change while voting against virtually every recent effort to actually invest in clean energy. You don’t have to look further than the wind turbine plant where Senator McCain is speaking today to assess his commitment to this cause. While Senator McCain talks about the need to invest in alternative energy, he rejected the single biggest investment in renewable energy in history, including incentives that contributed to a nearly 50% increase in wind power generation last year, and he has repeatedly opposed renewable fuel mandates and higher fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks.
