Any person who has a remote concern how corporate media are gift wrapping the presidency to Republican will agree the philly debate was the ugliest and most dangerous display of corporate whorehood. Kos is urging people to call ABC., not...more »

I posted this as a response to a someone dismissing Wright's HIV comment as "crack pot." But I thought blogging may allow larger readership.Anyway, I thought I will atleast voice one of his "controversial statement" in a decent context. Here...more »

You are way more invested in your candidate than you should. Ted Kennedy has a lot more legacy in our politics.

The man is a lion. His contribution to Obama so far has been priceless and his is still very much required for the campaign and a possible Obama administration.

What the heck are you talking about? Obama camp were the first once to pounce on the comment as directed at them and respond- trigerring reactions from other democratic leaders.

It's all together a different ball game when you hear and see Obama speak rather than just reading the transcript. He really packs a punch.
Thanks for the upload.

I really did not hear any substantive conversation about the future, and his comment that he would not talk to terrorists does not mesh with the statements on his website.
First. You're using the "his website" reference to make yourself look valid and studied.
As for "any substative conversation about the future," I agree he doesn't have all the I's dotted and the T's crossed. But after a long long long time a leader is suggesting a substative shift in foriegn policy and that's a huge shift from the last eight years. For further enquiry visit: www.barackobama.com

Your "?" at the end of the headline is unwarranted. McCain seems to neither for anything nor against anything- Global Warming, Foriegn Policy, Iraq, Oil Crissis- either for everything or against everything.
No platform as yet- all over the place.

Mathematically, the race is over. Agreed. But anyone who believes Hillary is finished is too naive or paid too little attention to this campaign.
At this point, I don't think she's even leaning for the VP slot. She is waiting for a opening. Take it from me, you'll hear a lot about back room deals and drama, lots of temper tantrums for FL and MI seating, exploitation of victim cared, etc. Though its looks less likely, she wouldn't mind witing a month or so before dropping out.
I don't agree but I don't fully blame her. This lady had devised the last decade or more to be the POTUS. She's loosing not the GE but the primary. She will not give up so easily.

Obama should depict it as attack against the entire democratic party not merely against him or his campaign. That wiil energize the base and that's where I see a opening to call for unity message.
