Yep. You nailed it. Despite being all over the board for the last two months in their criticisms of Obama, I'm seeing the Republicans coalesce around this theme. That Obama is not what he says he is. That he's all talk and no action. I expect to be hearing this not only from the McCain camp, but from all his surrogates as well. It definitely seems to be the strategy they have settled on.
We'll have to see how well Obama can defend himself from it. Personally I don't think he has done too good a job in the last couple of weeks.

What I'm saying is that we all have to work together - Christian and Jew, Hindu and Muslim; believer and non-believer alike - to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
If this is the goal, I'm all for it.

My thoughts exactly... Non-smokers all across America are taking a second look at Obama...

Hey lookie, a new avatar!
Honestly, if you took yourself more seriously, more people would listen to what you have to say.

That has to be the stupidest analogy I've ever heard. Don't most republicans want to be the cool guy at the country clup with the hot date? I think O's standing with discontented republican voters just ticked up a notch.

Well I think that if Obama didn't have to contend with the 527s (and if the 527s didn't have the reputation they do garnered from the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth sham), it would be hard to make a case for Obama opting out of public financing. But, the 527s do exist - both Obama and McCain will have to deal with them.
And while I see your point about going outside the system, I think the goal would be to reach the point so that it's not necessary to go outside the system.

If you rely on Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan for your information, you are sadly misinformed. That was a terrible response from Harold Ford, though. I'll give you that.
