  • While her comment was certainly regrettable, I don't see it as being an offense necessitating her resignation, but Clinton saw the opening and took advantage of it. Ironic that she's been so effusive in her praise for McCain recently considering his much nastier and out-of-bounds comment about Chelsea years back.

Politics is an ugly game that would rather suffocate "hope" in its crib than aspire to something better. Shame.

  • Why is this ridiculous sound bite / non-story featured on the front page of TPM while the NAFTA/Canada/Clinton revelation has been buried?

  • She was accused, too, and yet every reference to this I've seen online so far has focused on Obama.

  • If the media wanted Hillary to lose, they would have simply ripped her "35 years of experience" claim to shreds from Day One instead of letting her run with it, happily presenting her as the de facto front-runner and presumptive nominee for most of last year. It's only because she ran such a short-sighted and inept campaign built on hubris and a galling sense of entitlement that kept her from recognizing what was happening before it was too late. That's not the media's fault; it's simply one more example of her lack of foresight and judgement and one more reason why she's not ready to the President of the United States.

  • Why is this ridiculous non-story getting so much attention on a day where two more states are voting and Fidel Castro announces he's stepping down? How about some reporting on the candidates' positions on relations with Cuba and immigration reform and how that might play in Texas in Ohio?

  • Can someone source this claim that Obama said SDs should follow the will of their individual constituencies? My understanding was that he was referring to the final tally, ie: SDs support whomever has the most pledged delegates at the end.

  • Eric: The addition of the Obama quote takes it completely out of context and gives the appearance that you're offering some sort of cover for Rendell's indefensible commentary.

  • Rereading the comment, I'd guess he was referencing the general election since PA is a swing state, blowing the "dogwhistle" to whites in Virginia, Maryland and other upcoming states, hoping to stem Obama's momentum.

  • Rendell's an "automatic delegate", right?

    Idiot!
