Proof of its accuracy is in the pudding - Obama was tanking in Gallup numbers during the Wright flap and surged ahead after his race speech and the Tuzla flap. if that was just quirks, that's pretty darn coincidental.

it was always going to be an issue in his Senate campaign, so I find his point valid. the fact he made it early is incredible considering that at that time almost EVERYONE was in GWB's pocket. by 2004 things were already looking bad for Iraq, but in 2002 there was still the prevailing idea that it was going to be a breeze, that the mission would be accomplished in short order and we'd go back home as triumphant liberators.

I think it is fair to say Obama would act more cautiously.

Clinton: We don't have as much information as we wish we did. But what we think we know is that with North Korean help, both financial and technical and material, the Syrians apparently were putting together, and perhaps over some period of years, a nuclear facility, and the Israelis took it out. I strongly support that...there was evidence of a North Korea freighter coming in with supplies. There was intelligence and other kinds of verification.
Obama: Now, we don't know exactly what happened with respect to Syria. We've gotten general reports, but we don't know all the specifics. We got general reports in the run-up to the Iraq war that proved erroneous, and a lot of people voted for that war as a consequence.
I don't see him jumping the gun on anything.

Hillary's backtrack on financing her own campaign is yet another reason I'm glad to be a proud Obama supporter and DONATOR. Bill Clinton says no paying for her campaign because that would violate the spirit of campaign finance reforms. That was then, this is now. The Clintons won't fight for anything...as soon as public opinion shifts, that where they go.
I'm not trying to insult Clinton supporters. May the best candidate win. But it's her job to win me over. Clinton is the prospective employee and we the people of America are the interviewer, and I am not sold.

Steve M. is wrong. He includes the $19 million in Clinton's total that is only allowed to be used in the general election. Hillary finished 2007 with less usable cash than Obama.

I know I am in the barest minority here, but I believe if you pay taxes, you should be allowed to vote if you are under 18. NO paying into the system without being allowed a voice.

Well-funded? At this juncture, not really. Hillary is running out of money, and half her donors are maxed out at $2,300...whereas Barack's donors are 50% $1,000 or less, meaning he can return to them.

I'm confused as to how this is a big night for her. So far half of her wins are traditionally democratic states that any democrat is going to carry anyway. Obama has won 13 states so far and may win NM (it is currently too close to call, they are within 200 votes of each other.) and he didn't win states that any old democrat is going to take in November. He won swing states and red states.
The numbers from California ARE going to tighten overnight. Hillary is going to take it, but it WON'T be a 16% lead, in my opinion.
What this is going to leave her with is losing 9-13, possibly 8-14. Obama possibly winning 14 states to her 8 is a HUGE victory considering how far he was down in almost ALL these states.
Keep in mind that Clinton has almost no money left compared to Obama. She raised 13 million in January. Obama raised 32 million. They both spent around 10 million between S.C. and Super Tuesday. Do the math.

All this says is the undecided are gonna swing these primaries something fierce!
May the best man/woman win. I just hope that it's Obama. :)
