  • This is really sad. I cannot believe that at this point Hillary would make this move. After seeing the rage in Bill's interview and now this, I now see that the Clintons want him to lose.

  • Great post. By the time the oil hits the global market, the demand will have increased to a point to more than offset the increase in supply.

  • I think you are talking to me, but who is Duke? My friend feels that Bush is not solely responsible, that he did recieve a lot of bad information. I agree to a point. I think Cheney and Rummy used Bush like a rag doll. Still as you and I know, Bush is responsible for his administration. My friends recognition of this, whether it be right or wrong, is what makes him so upset to hear the same things coming out about the John McCain campaign, especially since he is fully aware of the presence of team Rove.

I am very close to seeing a liflong GOP'er switch. We both grew up and still live in Mississippi. I happened to come from a progressive family (yeah we exist down here too.) My friend's father was a Baptist preacher. So you see, he has come a long way from his roots. He even lectured his dad this weekend that he was having a hard time voting Republican because they don't care about the working man.

  • I think a lot of you missed the point here. I watched this segment with a moderate Republican buddy of mine. What bothered him most was the assertation that McCain's handlers are lying to him. He compared it to what we have seen the last eight years with Bush. He also said, if true, he nor a lot of other Republicans who are down on Bush, would vote for McCain. He was really shook up that McCain might not be getting the facts straight from his Rovian team.

I am not defending McCain, just passing along an observaion from a Republican.

  • WHat I want to ask any Republican on this ANWR and OCS drilling is this. Why did they not open the area up to drilling from 2000-2006 when they had the White House, Senate, and the House under GOP rule?
