White male, 48, right there with you on everything you've said, Kate. I've never understood how any non-conservative could not be a registered Democrat. Yet, now, I am THIS close to de-registering and joining the independent ranks. I am absolutely disgusted that Atwater-Rove tactics have been embraced by our party leadership. And policies -- first vote FOR War, then PUSH for a Gas Tax Holiday. How F'd-up is that?! At this point, I don't know why Obama would not run as a third-party candidate. I don't recognize him as a Democrat. The Democratic Party entered the gutter with the Clintons. Why be a party to that? Hey, he left Rev. Wright.

Who cares about Mickey Kantor?
Hillary has remained married to Bill Clinton through all his many years of many extra-marital affairs, lying, and finger wagging.
Barack Obama stuck with his pastor, the man who led him to God, until his pastor went too far.
Hillary Clinton stuck with her husband, the man who led her to Little Rock and Washington, and has not seen fit to cut her ties with that man, Bill Clinton.
As an atheist, who has a hard time understanding the requirement that candidates show wear religion on the sleeves, Obama's religious beliefs didn't seem that weird to me.
As a man who has been a feminist since my youth in the late 1960s, I don't recognize the brand of feminism practiced by the former First Lady, whose claim to "experience" seems to be 90% spousal. Most of it with risk of STDs from her husband.
Why will Hillary Clinton not break her ties with Bill Clinton, reject and denounce him?

Who is "Texas Voice," the poster of this piece?
This is TV's only post on TPM. No information whatsoever is offered by TV in the "Profile" section. Right there that's a flag.
TV, if you lack the self-confidence to share with readers who you are, if need to hide behind anonymity, then you won't be taken seriously.

Stop entertaining idiots. That RenAndStimpy foul child -- why does anybody engage him (it)? Attention is the troll's currency. Restrain! Get to learn who is who, and pass right over the ones who exist only to irritate. It's a basic lesson we were probably all taught as kids.
Now, Genghis is one of my favorite participants, but I would love it if people would refrain from using animated avatars. It's nauseating. Truly. I have to avoid that stuff or I'll heave.
Speaking of which, I'm relatively new here. I only joined when the Rev. Wright stuff first broke, back in March, so I chose my kitten hiding in a basket. I've since tried to exhibit some courage by using another picture of her standing tall, next to the basket. I keep trying to edit my profile, grab the image from the "browse," and saving it, but the same old hiding kitten remains. (Maybe the software knows my true fears about Obama in June, Obama in August, and Obama in November, but I'd like to change my outward appearance. How do I do that?)
Thanks. Now, I'm going to go to the contribute button and give some money. (I hit the 2300 mark with Obama last month ... but Hillary won't die!!)

Good for you, Stefanie [lastname]. That was an excellent letter. I love the "Do you remember the 1970 version of yourself?" line. That's always a good question for people who have gone from idealistic to tactical.
I've heard recordings of that ad. It is absolutely unhelpful at best and evil at worst. Coming from the Clinton campaign (anyone doubt that it wasn't?), I would bet on evil.
Time for assemble a grand jury.

Sticking with the Church after dozens, hundreds, of priests were revealed to be molesting their flock, and dozens, scores, of bishops and cardinals (including Ratzinger) were found to have covered up for those priests and obstructed Justice -- both secular and spiritual. That's what sticking with the Catholic Church is all about, not to mention the many sins of bigotry, chauvinism, greed, hypocrisy, and its current war on "the totalitarianism of secularism." That's what sticking with the Catholic Church is all about! It just burns me up (at the stake?) that Catholics would criticize Obama for sticking with his Church while they stick with theirs. Shame on you!

In fact, I'm going to change my avatar for the occasion. Something more assertive.
