I think Cheney is the worst American to have ever lived. Seriously. Nobody can top him for what he's done in his career.

There are odd shots like the woman looking away from his eye contact. Why use that shot? And it comes off like he's not totally comfortable in that situation (but who would, standing in the middle of a cramped room?). Plus the message gets slightly garbled.

Still, the overall tack of smallness and intimacy and showing older and working class voters: Positive.

I figure a tremendous amount of debt, both for the campaign and in promises. She needs to (somewhat paradoxically) keep running in order to raise enough money to pay off outstanding debts accrued. It's paradoxical, of course, because she's thereby accruing more debts, but it seems like some of the smaller vendors she has no intention of ever paying.

It also seems she and Bill have given tremendous amounts of promises to people in give-backs, Lincoln bedroom stays, and favorable contracts, for their falling in line and helping them out. They needed to get the White House to start paying out, but now that it looks increasingly unlikely, they need to at least show they did absolutely everything in their power to do so. Part of it is denial, part of it is pragmatism.

I wonder if you can expect any better anymore. Now that major media outlets are under corporate (thus big $$) control, they'd fight and scream and spit and rail against 'unpatriotic' attempts to divest some of that control. I don't think we ever get away from this.

Not like they were ever rosy. But this is bad.

And who helped give away the media to corporations in 1996? Hmm...
