The point is, if he truly meant that -- and wasn't pandering -- why didn't he say so publicly, rather than making that promise behind closed doors?

Now I understand!
I had wondered about the Teamsters endorsement because it just plain didn't make sense. Now all is plain.
And I sure don't buy the Obama campaign's explanation. If he thinks oversight of the Teamsters should end, why hasn't he said so publicly?
This stinks now, when it's probably too late to affect the nomination. But you can be sure the stench will grow over the summer.

Remember November -- that's what matters. Who can win the White House for the Democratic Party -- that's what matters.
Obama's numbers are collapsing -- and, no, it's not just Wright. People are starting to look for real policies behind all the pretty words. People are starting to realize which candidate really is tough enough to take on the right wing slime machine.
Clinton can win in November, people; Obama can't. It's that simple: Remember November.

Good, smart ad.

Good for you, Nancy Pelosi.
Is it just me, or does somebody need to tell Donna Brazile to stuff it? If she want to come out for Obama, fine, but she really needs to stop her crusade to, as she says, save the party from itself.
The race is close both in delegates and in popular votes. Votes are yet to be cast. Exit polling yesterday confirmed the Washington Post survey reported yesterday morning: Democratic voters are content to continue the race.
It's unfortunate that no campaign will hire Brazile. That, at least, would get her off TV.

Uh, if you look closely you'll see that the majority of primary voters in Texas went to Clinton.

And where the votes matter -- in big blue states -- she's well ahead.
People have gotten carried away by Obama's numbers in red states. Does an Alabama primary win really mean a damned thing?
Real Americans -- the ones who worry about putting fuel in the car to go to a low-paying job to put something to eat on the table -- are voting for Hillary.
Real Americans -- the grownups who want a person of substance in the White House -- are voting for Hillary.

Oh, hell, I'm guessing this is all a bluff to try to plant some tough questions aimed at Hillary in tonight's debate.
527s have an unpleasant aroma about them, but they're legal.
And is the wildest Obamite naive enough to think there won't be all sorts of 527s in support of their guy?

Good for whatever grownup clergy are behind that message!
I'm frightened by the venomous attacks on any delegates who are backing Clinton, and clearly that was the concern of the author of the message.
Obama supporters need to calm down a bit.
(Meanwhile, if "super" delegates should vote according to tallies in their districts or states, then, yes, Kennedy and Kerry and Patrick should all go for Clinton -- at least they should by the logic of all those fanatics who are attacking Clinton-supporting delegates.)

Playing it safe there, Barack?
Obviously, the Obama campaign realizes how she is so much more effective than he is in debates. Obviously, they recognize how much it matters to viewers to see and hear positions articulated. Obviously, all this frightens the Obama campaign.
But, heck, Barack -- show some nerve! You think you'd be able to duck debates with testosterone-filled McCain?
I detest Fox. But I recognize that's a way to reach Red State viewers. So what's Obama afraid of? Huh, Barack?
