After the latter battle, Plutarch relates in a report by Dionysius:The armies separated;...more »

Plain and Simple
So at long last this is it. In Hillary's world anything that gets her the nomination is good. Anything that might deny her the nomination is bad. Even if these things create paradox they don't care. She does not care...more »

David Duke vs. Louis Farrakhan
After Barack Obama’s historic speech yesterday it seems the Right’s new talking point is to say he has not gone far enough in distancing himself from what they consider to be a racist church. As a case in I have...more »

Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Bee
Boxing analogies seem to be ruling here lately. As a boxing fan I am quite happy about this. Also I like the idea of casting Obama as Muhammad Ali. The GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!! So what if he is running...more »

If Hillary has superdelegate status...
She should have it taken away. With her coments today talking about McCain's fitnesse to be commander in chief, she has come dangerously close to if not outright breaking the Zell Miller rule. It seems like she would rather have...more »

I can't wait to see next week's polls. If anyone ever wondered what an implosion looked like, this is it.

They keep doing it over and over again though. Hypocrisy seems to come quite naturally to them. As does underestimating the American people. "Do as I say, not as I do" is not much of a campaign slogan.

I love that the McCain's first response out of the gate to any news, good or bad is always unintentionally hilarious.

Riddle me this. If Obama acts as a totalitarian then what will happen to his ability to fundraise? He's pissed off the lobbyists. He has pissed off the corporate interests. If he pisses off the people where will he get his money? He has tied his fate directly to us. If we stop giving he is fucked. We know it and he knows it.

And party discipline is a bad thing why? Seemed to work pretty well for the repugs to accomplish evil. Maybe Obama can use it for good. Besides, this does a lot to quash criticism of his opting out of public financing.

I wish that were true but sadly its not. For instance The Boston Herald today reported on The McCain camp's "Sept 10 Mindset" BS without even mentioning the Obama camp's response. Keep in mind that the worlds largest media empire is run by former Bond villain Rupert Murdoch. That paper belongs where I find it every morning. On the floor of my office bathroom

I am so salivating over this. Who wants to bet that before noon something goes out from the Obama camp along the lines of "We are not going to be lectured on counterterrorism by someone who located his command center inside the biggest target on the eastern seaboard so that he could (One of the below)
1. Have a love shack walking distance from city hall.
2. Do a favor for his mob buddies.
3. Do a favor for his real estate buddies.
4. Be closer to his pal Roger Ailes. We'll you get the idea. They are serving up meatballs for the Obama rapid response team. Expect them to keep knocking them out of the park.

Oh I am so Loving this. This is what the campaign will take away from this day. 9/11 is NOT repeat, NOT a winning issue for the repugs. This is a bitch slap and they know it. All the repugs now have to run on is Racisim. This is gonna be a slaughter.

McCain is still riffing on the old chords. Obama is writing a new symphony. Obama knows how to handle McCain. McCain has no Idea what to do with Obama.
