  • This story provides me with the hope that Obama might yet become the person required to lead our great nation. I recognize that it is our duty and obligation to mold him into that person and I am thankful that Edwards is lending his efforts to that task.

Americans need to be introduced to our shameful secret and we all need to devote ourselves and our actions to edifying our fellow humans.

Wealth is not finite. There is enough wealth for everyone. Scarcity is a fairy-tale Milton Friedman devotees tell themselves and their children to rationalze their cruelty to their fellow man.

We, the people, are better than that.

  • War and Commander-in-Chief-dom are REPUBLICAN frameworks. Shifting the focus to bullying and fear-mongering allows Republicans to force recessivist policies upon the population. What we are seeing here it the repetition of a fascist plutocracy surplanting a democratic republic.

Progressives need to focus on re-framing the conversation of what the Presidency is. The reason for the existence of the Office of President is defense of the Constitution. Quickness to resorting to violence is exactly the opposite of what is required to lead a nation founded on responsibly maximizing freedoms . . . Especially and specifically including the freedom from fear.

Everyone loses when America wallows in fear.

    GotNOlife,

I am sorry that the ability to understand the concepts expressed above escapes you. I feel for, empathize, forthe lonely tragic life you mind seems to confine you to.

Patrick Henry meant what he said when he stated, "Give me Liberty or give me death."

Beating ones chest and pretending to be Alpha Prime Male does nothing to better or forward the Great American Experiment. We . . . We, the People, are better than that. Obama appears to have come to understand that.

Clinton ran and continues to run a wildly sucessful primary campaign in spite of making choices I would have never made. Acknowledge that Obama ran an even more sucessful primary campaign and is the democratic Party's de facto nominee. It is time to choose to support what is best for Amerca.

I say this as one who has made no secret that neither Clinton or Obama is my preferred choice. It is time to join the League of Civilized Human-kind.

  • McCain has adopted so many of Bush43's nastier habits . . .

Pointing towards the opposition and declaring his own greatest weakness belongs to the opposition and relying the corporate media to repeat the untruth until it paints the opposition indistinguishable from himself.

Hopefully, folk will finally catch on and examine speaker's flaws for what they are.

  • Confusing emotional intimidation with gaining rational agreement is the hallmark of a bully. Combine that with the understanding that recessivist thought is contrary to human nature and you realize that is all they got.

  • You are committing the identical atrocity . . . only less effectively and on the cheap. What is heinous in Perry's behavior is more tradegic in yours as you appear to know that these actions are politically and socially unacceptable.

Perry uses his wealth and the wealth of others to do bad things for political reasons. Focusing on this is acceptable and reasonable.

Impuning Perry's lack of character by maligning his mental disorder is wholehearted inappropriate.

Yes, Perry is a broken person. Part of his disease includes behavior that subverts treatment of his condition. The nature of an addiction overwhelms rational thought and behavior.

Yes, Perry chooses to do broken things. Criticize and argue for the mitigation and elimination on those actions.

Two wrongs do not make a right . . . and should NEVER make a left.

  • The Commander-in-Chief-dom arguement gave us Commander Codpiece giving us 'mission Accomplished' and a hunderd years long Occupation of Iraq and unending dependency of dinosaur juice.

This is a REPUBLICAN framework. Stop doing their job against WE, the People.

The President's first job and the reason American's should be picking a person is:

    DEFENSE OF THE CONSTITUTION.

I repeat "STOP doing their job!" Re-frame the conversation. If you (we) don't or can't, the result is clear:

President McCain's will be king and the Great American Experiment dies as a fascist plutocracy. America deserves more than dying as a bananna republic.

  • As I have typed elsewhere in various iterations:

McCain's sole hope as he treks deeper into insanity is that press will continue to ignore him. Any air time he will garner will display him in less than flattering light.
