You know that's bullshit. Illinois' gas tax is based on a percentage, and fuel prices had risen, so they lowered the percentage.

For pete's sake. You go up against the inevitable establishment candidate who refuses to drop out despite the fact she can't win, you raise more money, and you spend more money to try to convince Clinton to drop out.

Is this the losing strategy? What the hell should Obama do? Agree to spend as little as Clinton? This is just Clinton spin, being 'reported'. If Clinton had outspent Obama, this would not be such an issue.

If he pulls within 10 points, I say money well spent.

This is such utter crap. You must live a mighty shallow existence to not know anyone who has said things that you MIGHTILY disagree with. This does not mean you throw them under the bus.

But who knows. Maybe you spend most of your life in your parent's basement eating cheese flavored products. Or hanging with people who agree with you 100% of the time.

Or, as I'm guessing, not hanging with anyone at all.

It makes me sad that he HAS to get this out in the open. This was a private affair that his wife was well aware of. She had an affair of her own. It was a rough patch in their marriage and they decided to try to make it work. Seeing as how 50% of marriages end in divorce, like, say, John McCain's (after an affair of his own), I may likely call this a success story. A couple who took their marriage serious enough to make it work after stumbling.

I mean, I understand that the state of politics dictates that he gets out in front of this, but it's just depressing that he has to nip this in the bud. He wasn't purchasing thousand dollar prostitutes' services.
