I am so sad and in SHOCK !! His poor family ! What a life he led !! What an infectious joy of Politics he shared ! That Irish fellow and his family were like a part of mine ! I can't imagine him not being here during the most incredible election in history !What a loss and This weekend is FATHER'S DAY !! I always think of his love for HIS father and his son; He wonderful love song to HIS father was WONDERFUL..SO SO SO SAD!!

The real issue is that MSM and the right use the "fear" of a strong professional black woman as code to mask racist opinions about Black women. I find it so interesting that Michelle is often judged unfairly by women (both Black and white)? the power of a self made black woman is something America is not comfortable or used to seeing. Typically them image of a friendly non opinionated type (Oprah, Condie Rice, etc.) is judged differently than one who speaks and connects with passion. What the right and MSM are playing up on the fears that passion means anger. I really believe that if another candidates wife had said the same thing, I doubt that it would have gotten this much attention. Something to think about...

No, She should have run in 2004. That was her year, she would have been stronger than Kerry was and would have one a close election. Barack would not have run until 2012. OR she could have run for Senator from ILL (the state she was born in) and Barack would not have been a Senator from ILL. Politics is about timing, Barack (THANK GOD) had PERFECT timing !

Not Both, Hillary said she was for statehood last week ! I will be so thrilled when this thing is over.; I was abit afraid that Barack was not gonna play defense..But with McCain, he is going full throttle ! Against Hillary is was much more difficult for him to really fight back. It is gonna be a very interesting fall campaign.

Great ad, I mean REALLY ! How can you not like and respect this man ? He is real, I tell you , He's the Democrat's Reagan, as far as communication. I think he is better that Bill was, less manipulation, more honest and he reaches out when he speaks. I think that the Repubs are slowly realizing that this thing is gonna be a blow out !

BevD, Do you REALLY believe that ? Certainly gender bias and racism are both HUGE negatives within society. But if you can look our history and say that the risk to Barack is the same as to Hillary.I don't know what world YOU are living in. Hillary has Secret Service because she is a former First Lady ! Barack is the FIRST Presidential candidate to have Secret Service protection BEFORE the primaries even started !! Do you think that they would authorize this protection if there were not SERIOUS threats against him ? Be REAL...This country has made GREAT progress in many areas , but let's not ignore the past...
