What a horrible, lawless bunch. It makes one pine for the much more lawful Nixon administration.

I'll still vote for Obama. But I won't work for him. (Though, given the fact that I'm in CA, there's not as much to do anyway.)
As to leaving the Democratic Party, I've been a member as long as I could vote. Why should I allow them to count me in their registration numbers when they clearly don't represent my interests? I will re-register as a Democrat only if there is some key primary I need to vote in to get a liberal on the ticket.
It comes down to this: I will do the minimum required of me to get BHO elected. That's it. The rest of the money I would have given to him goes to the PAC to elect better Democrats.

I am leaving the Democratic Party and BHO gets no more money from me. I'm giving to the PAC.

I sent Howard Dean a message via Facebook that I will leave the Party if the Dems cave on telecom immunity. That will be the last straw. And it's not as though opposing it has much in the way of political costs. I haven't looked at the numbers recently, but there is no clamor for immunity for the telecoms.

I will give nothing to them. The last 18 months they have been supine as Bush has continued to destroy the country.
I will give to progressive PACs instead.

Here is why it was ill-advised for her to say the sorts of things she said last night:

Here is why you don't repeat claims that are at best dubious--things like that you won the overall vote--at the end of a primary:

It's kind of hard to call for party unity while at the same time telling your supporters you won the election (via the primary race).
Though I must say that her narcissism pales in comparison to Bill's...
