  • Inherent contempt of Congress may not be pardonable. Karl rots in jail while it gets figured out (no bail system!).

  • Bloody enough for 59 senate seats? Obama's veep breaks the ties.

  • There was a day when the word "congressional subpeona" got you shitting yellow in your didies. This move is out of the Clinton playbook: throw sand in the air, maybe we'll sneak through.

The next DoJ has work enough for several administrations. If a President Obama discovers illegal activity in the previous administration, will his DoJ act on it? Will we see pardons? More likely, we will see nothing, nothing at all. Congress is still broken, and its leaders shall persist.

Obama will preside over a dysfunctional govt that has been purposely disassembled. I wish him well, and expect nothing.

  • One of many, but among the top two or three, reasons he will lose. He's past it, for sure, and it's 10 years until November. McCain cannot break 45-47% in national polls now. When the dems have their nominee, I predict McCain will never rise above 45% again. This is assuming he makes it to November. Let's see those medical records. Let's also see Cindy's personal tax returns, since it's clear there's a campaign connection, there, Mr. McCain/Feingold. HIGH-pocracy, I tells ya...

  • 60 votes in the Senate seemed like a dream not so long ago. Once Sen Clinton concedes, the rallying around the winner will be deafaning, particularly to GOP attacks. I see Mitt Romney is out on his Sour Grapes Tour, still thinking it's about him.

Two words: Down-ticket Appeal. That may actually be three words...

Liddy Dole being in trouble is not surprising, but it's a huge pickup. Cornyn in Texas or McConnell in KY....now THAT would be an ousting!

I look forward to a 50-state campaign, and I like the idea of Obama debating McCain in open, unmoderated forums.

    Pax,
    M.
