  • She also has nothing to loose by this kind of crap. Obama has a general election coming up, and having a major news organization basically stamp the RNC logo on their entire debate can be pretty annoying.
    two side notes:
    1. I wouldn't be supprised if this is a long term net financial loss for ABC. Sure it was the most highly viewed debate this year, but if that means that Obama is less willing to agree to as many future debates, this could hurt their bottom line. Then they would in the future be pressured to ask legitamate questions that matter. Also, this is not good for their image (especially with the democratic party).
    2. With regards to the not whining comment.. WTF? Her entire campaign has been one extended whine about unfair media treatment, caucuses, states with black people, Obama outspending. Furthermore, the last month has basically been a drawn out "Waaaaaaa... I didn't win, so screw this other guy!" Is Bill Clinton trying to wipe the LewinskyGate slate clean by forcing people to remember him as one giant self-parody machine rather than just that creepy jackass who all but handed the presidency, congress and senate to the Republicans?

  • I said despicable for a reason. I did not care to elaborate because I know well enough that the group of people that has chosen to view everything through the Clinton prisim was not the target of my post. I know there is no winning them over. You have picked your side, and against all forms of reason, accountability, and investigation of the actual facts you will still be on that side. The fact that your proof that Obama is a dirty politician rests on a comment that Jesse Jackson Jr. made over 3 months ago helps explain the shalowness of your argument.
I understand that you think that everything is equal in politics, however it is simply not. The type of attacks and manipulations that have been leveled towards Obama from the Clintons and their surrogates are not in the same ballpark. You may not choose to agree with that, but I would suggest that it is out of your loyalty to the Clintons (and not the current facts) that is helping form your opinions.

  • I know you think you are helping, but in my view nothing makes me more frustrated than the chronic enabler. Nearly every post on here from you backs off from calling something as it is. I understand your attempt to constantly "mend fences", but I feel it doesn't help.
An inability to call people out when they are doing something wrong is what has gotten us into this situation. For the past 7 years there have been republicans that are reasonable people that have refused to call out George Bush because he is a republican. That is how I view the group of people, yourself included, that constantly refuses to call out senator Clinton when she does things that are despicable. The correct term for it is enabler.
I don't mean this to antagonize you, just to try to get you to aproach Clinton, Obama and other political figures from an outside perspective. Don't think of them as, "hey they are democrats they can't be that bad". View what they do and how they act and judge wether or not they are helping the dialouge, and how what they are doing (even in campaigning) affects the citizens of the united states. If you honestly do this and you are not extremely pissed off, frustrated, and sick of Senator Clinton's behavior thus far, I don't know what to say to you. If you see what has been going on, and just think it helps to always try to be the "good guy" that doesn't hurt anyone elses feelings.... you are wrong.

  • Are you really that sensitive, or are you just playing the pseudo-outrage game? I think what you are seeing is that because of her lets say sub par (to be nice) behavior throughout this campaign, many people have troubble defending Hillary from anything. The part of the comment that can be construed as offensive is the fact that "whore" is used.
If Randi Rhodes had said f'ing asshole, I would not have a problem with it at all. In fact I would agree with the discription. One problem that has come out several times this race is the appearance of sexism when people use gender specific derogatory terms. It is something that needs to be addressed, because it does in some ways demean a whole gender.
On the other hand, I do not know the context of how Randi used the phrase. If the word whore were used to describe clinton's behavior in a specific instance, the phrase may be relavant (although an unfortunate choice of wording). For example, when Clinton lavishes praises on McCain while attacking Obama I could say: Hillary Clinton is whoring herself to the republican party to better her chances of running again in 2012 by proping up McCain and nocking down Obama. In this case the only thing offensive about using the word whore would be that it would be degrading to whores by comparing them to Hillary Clinton.

  • "Misstatement" is a pretty extreme mischaracterization. You do not have to be their PR firm.
With that asside I do have to say that these appearances make her appear more human and understanding of the situation, and at the same time (to me) even less likable. She has this kind of "its all a game and I got caught" attitude. I do appreciate when politicians have a sense of humor, but when it is about how they were caught in an exagerated lie, it just gives the impression that they couldn't care less about the truth or their own integrity.

  • "what am i to make of thise obama mystique that leads to otherwise rational people to begin viciously defame a woman senator from new york and former first lady of the country"

"obamites are quite the crowd, arrogant, dismissive of those who disagree, and defile others for, well, their defilement."

What completely rediculous generalizations. Please open your eyes and your mind. If you were paying attention and not just offering your mindless support of someone based on their party and ties to power, you would see that Hillary Clinton is a bad person. She is nearly devoid of character, honesty, and any of the qualities I would like to see in a public official, let alone the president. She is George Bush in a pants suit (not in policy, but in character). Her lust for power and absolute lack of any moral spine have pushed her to do and say so many things that make me completely sick (this is coming from a person who was very open to voting for her last January). If you would contribute more by keeping yourself informed, and maintain an open mind to what has happened this year, I know you would think differently. Good luck.

  • "On a separate note, your wives & girlfriends must be very unhappy given the Obamabots prediliction towards premature congratulations/condemnation and I'm so sure your overexuberence finds it way into other areas as well."

First it was, understanding math is a good thing. Now when the math reality makes you sad, it is because of an overabundance of premature ejaculating men? You are somewhere between entertaining and tragic. I find myself actually feeling bad for you. If you truly believe any of what you are posting, you are in for a bad few months. I would encourage you to gradually aclimate yourself to reality, so it doesn't hit you so hard when it becomes unavoidable. Good luck.

  • "Obamabots are not too knowledgable about math"

You sound like a nice person, would you like to come over for the "Hillary's concession speech party" I am throwing? It should be sometime between now and July 1st. I will have a box of tissues if you need it.
