  • I want to add my voice to the chorus of disgust over tonight's spectacle. I turned it off after the first half hour because I was so disgusted with the content. As Hillary would say, I can't choose my family, but I can choose where I get my news. The only thing I learned tonight is that there is something worse than Wolf Blitzer or Tim Russert moderating a debate.

    -Now more bitter than ever.

  • I would like to second Tena's support of the F word. But I think it should be saved for the republicans. I am 100% behind the idea of improving the level of discourse between the Hillary and Obama camps.

In sports speak, this is a scrimmage. Let's save the hostility for the actual game.

  • I'm not a religious person and I've always had a hard time with idea of hell... However there are a few special individuals like this douchebag who truly make me hope that there is a place where their own crimes are revisited upon them for all of eternity.

  • Go Amy! Her recent comments have made it fairly clear this was coming, but I still did a little happy dance. I continue to be quite proud of her. Now if we could just get rid of that jackass Coleman...

  • Ah yes, thank you for referencing a Fox News story that has already been debunked for the crap journalism that it was. Anyone can post a page on Obama's site. He has a myspace style section that is used to build connections between supporters, which was what this was. It has long since been deleted by the campaign.

Next time try to find something that actually has a basis in reality. It only makes him look better when the only things you can attack him on are invented stories.

  • I agree, that was the kind of word twisting that would make the MSM proud. Take it out of context to make it sound like he was saying the exact opposite of what he really said. Come on, Eric, TPM is so much better than that!

  • I agree. It is really interesting to watch Hillary supporters, including the big contributors that wrote that lovely letter to Pelosi, try to argue that the superdelegates can throw the race. Meanwhile Obama has gotten something like 60% of the SD endorsements in the last couple of months and several Clinton SDs have actually abandoned her. It is all irrelevant if they can throw the race to her or not, because they won't.

  • Hmm. Can we find their addresses and write them back?

Posted at March 26, 2008 3:28 PM in response to In Letter, Top Clinton Donors Chastise Pelosi For Statements About Super-Delegates

  • Well, I would point out that Hillary and Obama's positions are not really that far apart. Their methods are different, but their goals are largely the same, so I think it is pretty far off base to claim that he is so much more liberal than her on the issues.

Secondly, McCain's position on the war is about as far right as you can get. He is not reasonable on the issue, nor is he reasonable on Iran. I think that to try to make an argument that he is in anyway palatable to democrats, you have to ignore facts.

Thirdly, McCain is pro-life. This is not a moderate position and his supreme court nominees would reflect this. It is in no way unreasonable to predict that if another Republican is elected this year, Roe v. Wade may well be overturned.

  • I disagree. I think people are taking a second look at Franken. He's dropped the joking around and the attitude and has come across very sincere in this race. I think if he can continue to tie Coleman to Bush he has a good shot.
