Hillary's job was to get her 18 million voters on board, and get their heads straight that what's at stake here goes way beyond petty hurt feelings. She did her job.
It's Obama's job to make the case to undecideds why he should be President.

Hey Bigger Jackass, if you'll read my original post, I'm a long time Obama volunteer. I'm sick and tired of some of the other Obama volunteers thinking Obama just has to 'be the smartest guy in the room" and we got the nomination wrapped up in a landslide. We're going to need each every Hillary vote, and people who continue to act cantankerous towards Hillary and her supporters are just sabotaging the election. The arrogance that they weren't even needed after the primary was astonishing.
I volunteer door to door. I campaign for Obama in people's living rooms, not just in the echo chamber of liberal blog messageboards. I talk to people about their doubts and misgivings about Obama. One of the most common complaints I hear is that he's just a trendy fad for overly sensative, insecure young people. Thanks for perpetuating the stereotype.

I don't think Bill has to insincerely kiss Obama's ass and be buddy/buddy with him. Bill needs to get up there and do what he's done his entire career ... deftly and swiftly disassemble the Republican Noise Machine, in his typical effortless mannor. Frankly, he could give Obama a few pointers on it.

She controls enough votes to swing a 51-49 election, and if you don't believe Obama needs her and her supporters you've drank too much of the Kool Aid.

Enough with the "why didn't she talk about how awesome Obama is"? Nonsense. That's all last night was, and it was a snoozefest. The general message of Obama's campaign commericals this summer have been "Look at me. I'm Obama, I'm ubiquitously awesome". It's been a failure.
It's time to roll up our sleeves to FIGHT, not to pat ourselves on the back.

What a much needed shot in the arm for this convention, this party and this campaign. Let's face it ... we've been sleepwalking for weeks.
I'm an Obama volunteer, supporter and financial donator from the primary, but the bottomline is Hillary is an incredible asset to this party. Let's not kid ourselves here ... This is going to be another 51-49 election, and Obama is not going to cakewalk his way to the Oval Office just on his "awesomeness" like some of my more naive brethren believe. We're going to need every vote, and Hillary has 18 million of them. We're going to need grit and determination, and Hillary has it in spades. And if Obama wins the office, he's going to need a leader in the Senate, and Hillary has earned the right with her 18 million votes to be the head honcho.
I'm off to her website to see if she's still accepting donations to pare down her campaign debt.

It's two pronged attack on two very tangible McCain weaknesses.
One, he's an out of touch multi-millionaire who has no sense of the economic hardships of the middle class.
Two, he's so old and senile he can't even keep remember something as simple as how many houses he owns.
If you're in an offensive state of mind, Cain is good for one of these verbal or mental blunders every few days. I have no idea why it took Obama this long to get into this attacking mindset, but better late than never.Posted at August 21, 2008 12:52 PM in response to Dems Open Major Populist Offensive Over McCain's Houses Gaffe

I remember receiving this same "These guys know what they're doing" and "It's only August" lecture in August 2004, when Kerry was just taking a Swiftboat beating with a smile.

Americans have held their noses and voted for known liars, crooks, panderers, hypocrites and imbeciles ... but they will not vote for a perceived wimp.
I don't know why Democrats are so petrified of fighting dirty ... the voters actually respect it when you do. Voters know McCain is running a negative campaign. He's getting a bump in the polls not only despite it, but because of it. Undecided voters know Obama is smart and they know he's a great orator, but they don't know if he has any balls. I'm an Obama suppoter, and I don't even know.

Ugh, I stopped reading mid-way through point #1 because I got bored. Which is exactly why your "multi-pronged" approach is not good.
