John McCain recently 'offered' to debate Senator Obama in a series of 10 'town hall' style 'debates. Largely unmoderated, and in casual settings, while this would seem to favor Obama (who is rhetorically and presence-wise many levels above McCain), in...more »

  • The only real question is why anyone with an IQ above 50 would care what Toby Keith 'thinks' - on any subject.

  • I, too, think Clark is the best choice among current potential VP nominees.

Shuts down completely the 'anti-military' loonies.

Shuts down any 'anti-troop' talking heads.

Plays well to the centrist elements of the party.

Can be the attack dog Obama needs to remain above the fray.

Will poll well in FL, OH, MI, and PA (and may help tip a couple of western battlegrounds as well

No need to risk any DEM governorships or Senate seats with his nomination.

    What more could one ask?

Not only that, but that would also sacrifice the governorship of Virginia to a Republican - not a welcome thing with redistricting coming up neat year in that state.

Kaine is not a viable choice for Obama - or the party.

  • MJ:

How can 'we' have any say in the matter when 'we' are not privy to the vetting information and documents for each candidate?

After all - a sound judgment requires access to ALL information which informs a final decision - and you and I are not in any position to have that kind of access.

    Just a thought.

    Really?

Obama has not run a single attack ad - and has a 5-6 composite lead in the major polls.

WHy would he go negative if McCain's negative ads are not working?

And at a time when 99 out of 100 people are paying no attention whatsoever?

Posted at July 30, 2008 5:15 PM in response to Poll: Obama's Lead Slips In Michigan

  • Gee Greg:

I just consulted the 'Swing State' Poll Graphs over at Pollster.com. Here's what they indicate:

    OBAMA GAINING OR INCREASING LEAD:

    FLORIDA
    INDIANA
    ARIZONA
    NORTH CAROLINA
    VIRGINIA
    MONTANA
    ARIZONA (!!!!)

    McCAIN LEADING OR GAINING:

    NORTH DAKOTA
    COLORADO
    NEVADA

WISCONSIN is not a 'Swing State'. All polls currently have Obama INCREASING his lead over McCain (again, Pollster.com combined poll graph for state)

You know, Greg, you might want to look up the definition of the word 'cherry-picking'. Perhapos you can even land a job at Gallup doing their 'Likely Voter' "Scenario" polls.

In short - this blog entry really makes you look partisan - and less than intelligent.
