Where's McCain's medical records? I want to have it in black and white from his doctors that McCain has all his marbles.

Has McCain met with, spoke of, denounced, renounced or otherwise distanced himself from Chalabi?
Hmmmm....does McCain even know who Chalabi is?
C'mon Johnny, quickly now, is Chalabi shiite or sunni?Posted at May 15, 2008 11:11 AM in response to Today's Must Read

Makes Johnny look alzheimerish. He can't even remember what day of the week he was supposed to be born on?
And who was it who was supposed to be enjoying the 12 bottles of scotch that were supposed to be presents for Johnny? That didn't exactly make any sense.

Hillary should prove right now that she can get that gas tax holiday passed. It would prove whether she really has leadership potential.
Of course her fellow Dems would be mightily pissed that she put them in a bind of doing what is best for the country or pandering for votes. Way to go Clinton.

It is no surprise that a nonprofit seeking to register future Dem voters would have some Clinton or Obama supporters on board.
Supporters are one thing. People who are paid to get their candidate elected are something else.Maggie Williams was on the board of WVWV and WVWV paid her firm $88,000 for "strategic planning" in 2006. Maggie Williams is now working to get Clinton elected. Is she using any of the "strategic planning" paid for by the nonprofit to help Clinton? Is the nonprofit now robocalling voters in a way that helps Clinton and hurts Obama?
It is not enough for a couple of Obama supporters who don't know much about the day to day running of WVWV to try to gloss over this. Why haven't we heard from Maggie Williams?

I am looking at the 990 tax return for WVWV for 2006.
First of all, WVWV is a 501 c 3 organization which means they cannot do anything to support a particular candidate.
WVWV spent $88,842.00 for "strategic planning" from Griffin William CPM. Isn't that Maggie Williams company? They also spent $225,854.00 on polling and focus groups from Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research. Why would a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to voter registration have to spend that kind of money on focus groups? There is also a company called Woman Voices Women Votes Action Fund which is a 501(c)(4). The same people seem to be on both boards.

Wilkes is between a rock and a hard spot. He needs some assets to get out on bail. But if were to draw on any assets hidden in a foreign account or in some tricky deal with the folks who bought his ADCS building, well, the judge would throw his ass back in the slammer for lying. And he wouldn't be able to claim poverty and get his free public defender. It's a tough choice.

Harry Truman eh? Wasn't he that wildly unpopular president who couldn't get any of his proposals passed? The guy who dropped nuclear bombs on Japan? The guy whose administration was riddled with corruption?

I'd say that there is a lot to be looked at with regard to Burkle and Yucaipa.
Just for starters, it would be interesting to know how many shares of stock Yucaipa owned of Safeway and Kroger during the 2003 grocery store chain strike in California. The chains feared that they couldn't compete against Wal-Mart superstores, After a 141 day strike, the grocery chains got what they wanted, a 2-tier salary structure, where newer hires got lower wages and fewer benefits.
If Yucaipa owned significant stock, if Burkle was on the board of these companies at the time, it could hurt Clinton.
A little interesting side note is that Yucaipa hired Jesse Jackson as an advisor also.
