  • If the polls show a wipeout in favor of Obama, the media heathers will say "Obama is in trouble because(fill in the blank). This shows his weakness." All they care about is a horse race. No tight race, no excitement, no viewers, no ad revenue, no five million dollar salaries for sitting in an air conditioned studio and bloviating.

  • Chill. I'm not saying it isn't winnable or that everyone has their head in the sand. But it will never under any circumstances be a slam dunk for anyone with change as their main message. This goes for Indiana too btw.

  • Correction.

    A better summation of Ohioans.

Boats against the current borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Hey I miss the place sometimes, but honestly this is the land that time forgot. Change is not a message that resonates. They like old. Old doesn't challenge them. This is true even with some young people. Unless McCain lapses into a coma, and even then... he still has the edge.

  • It's doable of course. But no popping the sparkling cider yet. I would take off 5 percent from Obama's numbers in any Ohio poll due to the Wilder effect.

Anecdotally, in my mother's coffee group (65 yrs and up), there are a bunch of lifelong Dems who are will never vote for a black man. One of them told a pollster he would vote for Obama, but confided privately that he feared Obama would bring in 'all blacks' to the cabinet. Much work needs to be done on the seniors.

  • The MSM is not interested in debating the merits of what was said by anyone. Nor are they interested in fact checking. They are only interested in pie fights. The more pies thrown the better. It's drama. It's like WWE smackdown wrestling, only with suits and no metalhead music. American truth seekers are left on their own. I have to believe that what will resonate are Clark's truthful words: being shot down doesn't automatically qualify you to be pres.

  • I called his campaign office and the person was very nice. She said they've logged a lot of calls about this. Urge him to filibuster this POS bill, he might listen. 866 675 2008, option 6

  • Every time I get excited about the likelihood of Dem gains in Congress, I remind myself that it means a lot of Dems will be elected/re-elected when they deserve to be tossed out on their criminal-enabling asses. Pelosi/Hoyer has enabled the Bush Crime Family on everything. Everything. Good job POS Dems.

  • Good luck with that gramps. The public doesn't give a damn about this, nor should they. Obama is doing the right thing and you can be sure that grandpa bombs away would be doing the same if he could.

Now when are the media going to cover the FISA clusterfuck? Oh wait, they won't because it's too hard for them to understand and it isn't about the horse race.

  • That's exactly right. It's the same reason impeachment is off the table. Because Dems are absolutely complicit in the crimes of this administration.
