Why so early?
I honestly believe that they don't have anything else but their national security/fear platform.
Obama has, rightly, begun hitting McCain on how his presidency will essentially be a third Bush term. McCain's response here is the first ingredient of a six-month, seven-layer bean dip of BS.
"You're not safe" will be the mantra from McCain's camp because, simply, he has nothing else to offer.

Any thoughts on how this endorsement might affect Hillary's claim to the Michigan delegate count?
It seems to me that this move will force Hillary's hand toward accepting the 69-59 split. Edwards, coupled with Obama, represent the bulk of the 59 "uncommitted" delegate apportionment. Dodd and Richardson--who, like Obama, removed their names from the Michigan ballot--have already endorsed Obama. I imagine Biden may soon.
Will both Biden and Kucinich have to endorse Obama to secure this split? Is Michigan closer to being settled, or does this endorsement apply not at all to this argument?
Just wondering.

From the aforementioned article:
"Fowler, who is married to a lawyer and has two daughters in graduate school, said she began writing at 50. She has written a thriller, a mystery novel and a nonfiction account of caring for her ailing mother-in-law -- all unpublished."
Elitism, huh?
Pot, kettle.

An article in today's LA Times notes that she has donated nearly $2,300 to Obama's campaign:

Please elaborate on how Penn's role in Clinton's campaign serves the "best interest of our nation, indeed the world."
Is his "honesty and integrity" encapsulated in the positions taken by Burson-Marsteller, the PR firm which he heads? And how do criticisms of these positions qualify as "the unhinged rantings of naive, uninformed,Hillary-hating hope mongers"?
http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/05/18/1281/I'd welcome a clearer picture. Thanks, Indepatriot.

I agree.
I also think we'll start to see groups of superdelegates supporting their candidates. Unless Hillary bucks the trend and begins building on her Pennsylvania lead, Obama will continue to collect those supers at a higer rate.

Has anyone out there seen an estimate on the total number of voters expected to turn out in Pennsylvania?
They had about 800,000 voters back in 2004. Let's assume the enthusiasm of this season kicks that total in 2008 up to one million. Even with a Clinton win of 60/40, she gains only 200,000 votes.
If the fulcrum of Clinton's strategy is to sway the supers with the two-pronged argument of winning the "big" states and the popular vote, she still has, by kos's numbers, a deficit of 633,000 votes, a total which will grow again after Indiana and North Carolina.
I can't imagine this fact won't be punctuated by both the Obama campaign and the MSM after April 22nd.
