I think Bush is secretly in the tank for Obama. How else can you explain his politically inept attack?

It wouldn't be pretty to see Bush grilled in the well of the Senate. Of course, I would enjoy such theater immensely.

Well, Obama is promising victory within 16 months of taking office. Take that, McSame!

It is no secret that politicians adopt and adapt successful themes from their opponents.
Remember, the "Heroine of Tuzla" and her husband have made 109 million dollars in the last 8 years. That places them in a very rarefied stratosphere right along with John Edwards. Moreover, if you listen to her stump speech it's as populist as it gets.
I don't fault Hillary for that anymore than I fault Obama for the inevitable metamorphosis into the "I feel your pain" mode of campaigning required to secure the nomination. Is it "phony"? Well, no more phony than the shtick all politicians must adopt to win elections.

Yeah Carol, I was watching MSNBC during that whole "exchange" between Chris and Pat. I couldn't believe how angry Pat was defending the dignity of uneducated white voter's. Hell, he sounded more populist than John Edwards ;-)

You are quite right. Obama does well among whites generally in all areas of the country apart from the appalachian trail.
Andrew Sullivan has a map that visualizes this trend nicely:

As much as I think Dick Morris is, well, a dick. His analysis regarding an Obama/Clinton ticket is spot on.
Besides, if Hillary were V.P., then Obama would have to invest in a food taster. This is not the change we need.
