  • As an Obama supporter who has absolutely been sickened at what has happened over the last 8 years, I have to say that I don't think Hillary should drop out or quit fighting for power.

Doing so would be going against everything the Clinton's believe in, which is that they - and they alone - are capable of leading the Democratic Party.

So Hillary, fight on! All summer long just keep campaigning as hard as you can. And if Barack manages to win the nomination at the convention, I hope you immediately start planning your run for 2012. Do whatever you have to do to torpedo him so he loses to McCain. That way a grateful Democratic electorate will turn to you in 2012.

And if Obama should somehow win in November, then on the day following the election I hope you start planning how you and your supporters will bring down his Presidency. Maybe you can find a way to force him to resign from office, setting you up to win the nomination in 2012! I know it is a dream, but sometimes dreams come true if you just fight hard enough.

Be true to yourself, Hillary, and your absolute conviction that only you are capable of leading the Democrats. Never give up! Never give in!

I'm sure that someday, if you keep at it, we Democrats will all wake up and realize that - yes - we were wrong to think that anyone other than a Clinton could lead the party.

  • This crap is why I really don't care who wins the General Election anymore.

The only fight that matters is that we force people like this who think they own the Democratic Party OUT of the Party.

Let them join the Republican Party which embraces Big Money, NAFTA, and waging war in Iraq while doing nothing on health care or protecting the environment.

Wait, those positions are the same as Hillary's. Come to think of it, let's just have a McCain/Clinton ticket.

McCain and the Republicans desperately need to appeal to women.
The Clintons need to come out of the closet and admit what they always were: Republican-lite. That way they could fly around the world with Saint McCain just like Joe Lieberman.

  • As an Obama supporter I'm good with splitting MI and FL according to the overall popular vote. Right now that is 50/50, with a slight edge to Obama.

Doing this stops her from claiming she "won" Florida and Michigan. It also ends this primary season sooner rather than later.

And ending this as soon as possible means we can get the Clinton's off the stage as soon as possible.

    SPITZER FOR SENATE 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Clinton's never cared about African Americans. They only cared about their votes, and the opportunity to use them as props in their campaign commericals.

People only think the Clinton's cared about African Americans because, in comparison to the honest racists in the Republican Party, they looked humane and compassionate.

But what, honestly, did the Clintons ever do for the African American community - or any other community except the bankers on Wall Street. Don't forget that it was Gore, not Clinton, that flew into New Orleans to help get the wounded out.

My guess is that Hillary is running to be the first "Latino" President the same way that Clinton became the first "Black" President.

Funny that Hillary's interest in Latino's developed just as they became an influential voting block.

To paraphrase Kanye West, "Hillary Clinton doesn't care about black people."

  • The Dems did exactly the right thing on Friday. The response needs to continue tomorrow on the talking head shows. Our Dems need to come out and say two things over and over again:

    1) The President is incompetent. He cannot win this war. And every terrorist attack proves George Bush's incompetence.

    2) The President is incompetent. He cannot win this war. And every terrorist attack proves George Bush's incompetence.

And as for Mrs. Schmidt, the Dems need to wage a full scale war on her. Every big name Dem with any war experience, from Murtha to Clark, needs to campaign hard against her. The Big Dog and his wife need to fund a huge negative, nasty campaign against her.

  • Let's get that trial started. I want FULL disclosure with a very extensive search of all of Delay's campaign finance activities. Let's get that drip, drip, drip of criminal allegations and indictments coming.

By Nov. 2006, we'll know exactly how many Republicans received money from the crook. Gonna make for some GREAT campaign commercials.

  • Simply fascinating that Frist would rather use his insider information to dump his stock rather than using it to do something that would help out HCA over the long term - not to mention giving him a political issue to run on in 2008.

Universal health care, e.g., Hillary-care, sold as a boon for business is something that makes sense. It is ridiculous that we put businesses in charge of paying health insurance premiums as a benefit. Every business in the country would LOVE it if they could get that cost off their books.

If Frist's idea was to put up a FreddieMac style insurer and belonged to, he could have made  HCA boom AND given millions of Americans access to health care.

But Republicans only think about themselves and their immediate family. And Democrats lack the vision to sell any of their policies in a creative way, or to bring together big business and the uninsured in a way that solves the health care crisis in this country.

It was always apparent that America would be destroyed from within, not by the Soviets or the Islamic Extremists. Amazing that it only took 5 years to throw away everything that had been earned since the end of WWII.
