Some of my personal favorites:
"Band of Brothers" - Stephen Ambrose (also several of his other books, including "Citizen Soldiers")
"Truman" - McCollough
"With Malice Towards None, The Life of Abraham Lincoln" - Stephen Oates (Great book on Lincoln!)
Any book by Robert Dallek. Some of my personal favs include "Lone Star Rising" and "Franklin D. Roosevelt and American Foriegn Policy 1932-1945." (I'm a little biased towards him because he was a professor of History at UCLA when I studied there and I found his courses to be very interesting).
But right now my personal favorite would have to be "A Man On The Moon" By Andrew Chaikin. It's a great book on the history of NASA during the Apollo era and a very fun read!
Great topic Josh!
