  • I think what you have hear is a failure to communicate.... these women are not neccessarily emotionally able to express who they are really mad at, and why they relate to Hillary so thoroughly. And I use the word "mad" purposefully. They have either been abused as children, have been abused by cheatin' husbands, or are in an extreme amount of denial and are in abusive relationships now.

The old addage that the lowest one on the totem pole gets the rage in a family - if the parents are abusive, the kids will kick the dog... it's a little of that. The web is the "lowest man on the totem pole". They can engage in confronting someone without actually confronting them - there are no repercussions.... no one hits back. So they rage on - it may be the only safe place they have to rage.

    just a thought

  • Scientific,

There are PLENTY of women standing up for Michelle - many of us admire her completely. Her female fans are legion. We are all over the web, and being very vocal within our various social groups. I, for one, have also been hammering the media with letters.

This doesn't sit well with any of us! I can't speak for Hillary supporters, but there were so many female Obama supporters that the noise will be very loud.

Additionally, while many women may have a healing period ahead of them in terms of being enthusiastic for Barack - just see how motivated they get if these right wing-nut jobs continue attacking Michelle. That will unite them in the healthier direction very quickly.

  • POTUS, has been used by the Secret Service - long standing term. The problem with SCOTUS is that it reminds you of SCROTUM. And sadly, that is giving too much credit to Scalia at least.

Everybody who cares about their future will come to terms with reality. Everybody who holds a grudge does so at their own peril. It is up to everyone who understands reality to be very, very, clear.

NOW, it is about the time of the month that I take umbrage with your comments about women, and suggest that either you don't know them very well, or you just can't get yourself one - try Stanwood, I here the standards are a little lower ;)

Posted at June 9, 2008 5:07 AM in response to Obama supporters - it's time to practice what he preaches

  • Francesca, thank you. I actually cried. It was worse than a phone company commercial.

For all of the criticism Obama takes for being "all rhetoric", it is so sad that others don't understand the true nature of language. The fact that this is how we receive inspiration from others. This video made him look like a world-class athletic coach. The kind you want just before you try the high jump in the Olympics

This kind of approach to language, to use it in a beneficial way, is the only thing that outwardly defines any sentience we may seem to have. I mean, dogs don't write poetry, but they can lick their own balls. So, who is to say who is more conscious?

    Words is all we got!

These so-called political "analysts" are not using methods that I consider reasonable. Really they are only offering their opinions, which I find to be flawed in fundamental ways.

Really, they are no more verifiable in their opinions than anyone on the internet - they just have big camera's in HD.
