The same thing has happened to me before. I'm not really sure whether I am actually married to George Clooney or if that is just something I imagined or maybe saw on TMZ. The fact that George keeps forgetting my birthday and our anniversary might give me a clue.

"Hispanic and African-American communities are being deprived of the opportunity to register to vote at a higher rate than anybody else."
You win the prize! This is Florida, land of the "felon" voter purge. Why would they be making any effort to increase registration among African Americans and Hispanic? All the old Cubanos are already registered and they're the ones guaranteed to voter GOP.

Agree! We have to use every tool in the arsenal, especially buying advertising (TV, web, radio, print, dogsled).
The GOPers and their 527s will be out in full force and are not going down easily.Posted at July 9, 2008 6:07 PM in response to David Brock's Third-Party Group Reconstitutes As Anti-McCain Research Outfit

It's even worse that using one credit card to pay off another.
What's he's suggesting is to use the money you already charged on Card A 5 years ago (for an expensive dinner) to make next month's minimum payment on Card B. As if Amex is going to accept the pound of flab around your belly (result of many expensive dinners) instead of a check in the mail!Posted at July 7, 2008 3:07 PM in response to McCain's Plan To Help Balance Budget: Win War In Iraq

Actually, you could set up a "faith-based" initiative to pray for the money to pay back your home equity loan. I'll bet you'll get funding from the White House.

If you like McMaverick's plan to balance the budget, you'll love my new diet - guaranteed to lose 20 pounds in a weekend.
Step 1 - Win the MegaMillions lottery.
Step 2 - Use winnings to get liposuction.

I guess I'm the only one wondering why this warrants so much coverage. If you're at home watching this on TV, the impact of the size of venue will hardly register. People see sporting events (football) games in these stadiums every week - viewers are not focussing on the size of the crowd.

Isn't war profiteering a federal crime, like treason - punishable by death?

Look at the example of outsourcing the War on Terra to Blackwater, KBR, etc. That's worked real well for us, hasn't it?

You are correct. The WH Office of Faith-based Initiatives is a tax-payer funded porkfest where Bu$hco can reward his AmTalibangelical supporters.
It wasn't about achieving any results - religious organizations have been involved and receiving government contracts for decades to provide public services - the objective for the traditional religious charities was to serve people, not rake in $$$ like Dobson, Robertson and the other Cargo Christians.Posted at July 2, 2008 12:53 PM in response to Obama's Plot to Destroy the Religious Right
