Obama ended up voting against permanent elimination of the 5% state gas tax because of the long term harm it would do to infrastructure and the lack of appreciable tax relief for his constituents.

Oh My! A far sighted President, what a concept.
Oh My! Changing positions based upon Experience.

This is a winner for Obama.
