Is This The Best Face of the Opposition to Bailout II?
From a release that just hit my inbox:
[Sen. David] Vitter [R-LA] has authored the disapproval resolution that would block Congress's ability to release the remainder of the TARP funds.

Stunningly clueless.
Times are bleak for the Republicans, aren't they?

Bu$h drives the economy right up to the edge of the abyss and leaves it to the repugs in Congress to push it over. And they call themselves Americans.

Perhaps for our purposes he is. I can't imagine a Senator in their caucus with less credibility.

He has very little chance of being re-elected. This may be an effort to go out with a bang, or perhaps he simply volunteered to fall on his sword.

Don't be so sure he won't be re-elected. He's not the first blatant hypocrite who's been re-elected time and again here in Louisiana, one of the most illiterate states in the country.

The only stimulus package he's ever paid for was named "Bambi."
Of course, under that plan, he was the only one who got screwed. With his new plan, everybody in Louisiana is gonna get screwed.

If they throw in a package for bailing out whoring Senators, Vitter will drop his resolution.

He's going to jam up the Bailout with whores!!!!!!
I think one of those repubs stole the old Dem playbook.

Is that confirmed by polling numbers regarding his Vitter's 'chances for reelection' by close to none?
I thought Louisiana has a storied history of choosing to re-elect guys like Vitter. As long as they're not caught in bed with a living boy or dead woman?
