Where Are You, Angry Left? Part Three
Overall, how would you rate the quality of the people President-elect Obama has selected to be in his cabinet?Democrats: Excellent 40%; Good 44%; Fair 10%; Poor 2%
And nearly four our of five of Dems say the picks represent "real change." Not so angry.

Perhaps the Angry Left is just like Obama's Blagojevich Problem?
A phantom of the media's imagination?

I'd say so.
The mind reels at the vapidity of the coverage of our world.

I just read a comment from you over on Ben Smith's blog

Not that it's going to have any effect, but at least I thought I'd throw my two cents in. This is absurd.
Thank you for not posting much on Rahm.

To echo Chris Matthews: hah!
50% of Ben's posts were on Blago, or Blago-related stuff. I pointed that out, as well. The economy is dreadful. The rate of job losses frightening. The total abdication of leadership on the part of Republican Senators is stunning. But reporters are stalking Emanuel, and don't appear to understand how irresponsible this behavior is.
I just don't get it, I guess.

But really, Rahm is usually such a talkative guy, his "silence" speaks volumes.
And I just found an image of Jesus in my Subway Sandwich.

Come on, you know me better than that!
It was crazy though, the beard was formed by lettuce shreds, surrounding a clear image of The Son of Man's face in Salami.

Oh, thanks for the laughs.
I never get stuff like that from Subway. I think I'm being discriminated against.

A conversation taped in the halls of Politico, MSNBC,FOX,CNN,NYT:
I think what we have here boys is a case of facts not seeing eye to eye with feelings. I was so damned certain the liberals would hate Obama and his centrism of picking Hillary Clinton (who almost won the democratic nomination) and James Jones (who by way of qualifications, superb pick) or even that dadgum Gates (who is doing the best any able person can do to unwrite Rummy's mistakes). Why can't the liberals be more like Republicans, you know predicatable.I guess we have to work overtime now to tie Blago and Obama together. You know Blago's name has the letters A, O, and B- all you need is an M-and you've got OBAMA- I THINK WE HAVE OUR LEDE AT POLITICO.
Did anyone notice how the entire summer was spent breathlessy wondering if the dems who voted for clinton would vote for Obama, but yet after the election- NO ONE ASKED WHY THE REPUBS WHO VOTED IN THE PRIMARIES DIDN'T VOTE AT ALL.

I'll be predictable. I didn't bother to go out in the Minnesota cold last February to caucus for Obama and get Hillary's foreign policy and Bush's Secretary of Defense. I'm not angry. It's all too same old, same old usual suspects. Nothing changes.

When did Fox News win the creditable news content award?

Unless the poll asks "Are you angry about any of Obama's choices?" it can't possibly prove what Greg keeps trying to say is proven.
KOS commissions polls all the time ... and Greg seems to REALLY REALLY care about this. So why not commission a TPM poll and settle this once and for all? Go down the list and ask two questions of each appointee:
First it needs the control question: "On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being far right and 10 being far left while 5 represents center, where do you rate your political leanings?"
#1: "On a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being Angry and 10 being Ecstatic how do you rate the selection of [insert appointment]. If you don't know enough about [insert appointment] indicate 'no opinion' "
#2: "Can you name one important thing that [insert appointment] has done in the last 2 years that makes them qualified for the post?"
That would actually be an interesting poll to see the results of. This Fox thing ... notsomuch.

They need to get rid of Blago asap and get his replacement in place and have a Senator ready on day 1 of Obama's Presidency.
Obama's going to be pushing some big legislation through right out of the gate and he's going to need every Dem on deck.
