Obama Wins Ohio, Networks Say -- And Quite Likely, The Presidency
Fox and MSNBC call Ohio for Obama.
Which is to say, unless these calls are overturned or there's some kind of shocking turnaround in a major blue state, Obama will win the Presidential race.
Late Update: Two more nets -- CNN and ABC -- call Ohio for Obama, too.
Late Late Update: The exit polls show again that Obama way outperformed among certain core at-risk constituencies in the Rust Belt. He won among men, among independents, among low-education voters, among whites under $50,000, and among union workers and household members. He carried 82% of Clinton Democrats.
Late Late Late Update: Obama has now edged into a lead in Virginia, with 85% reporting, and only half of Fairfax is in. He's holding a three point lead in Florida with 67% reporting. Indiana is a dead heat. We are now looking at the possibility of a tsunami.

Just got back from driving people to the polls. My last voter was an AA man, late 60s. He was able to sign the voter registration roll, but he asked me to fill out his ballot for him. He could not hold his hand steady enough to fill in the circles.
So he pointed, said the name, and I had the incredible honor of filling in his ballot. It was his moment; I was his servant; only now as I begin to write about this experience is the magnitude of this gift from the Universe coming into my awareness.
I have been forever changed by this experience. You had a hand in this, Tena. My trips to TPM Election Central accelerated the thawing of my heart. Thank you.

Here's why I'm not surprised about the victory in Ohio. I live in Cincinnati. Yesterday, I had two visits at my front door from Obama canvassers. Today, I had two more, plus a phone call. (A real, live phone call, not a robocall.) The GOTV in Hamilton County was amazing. I'm sure it was the same all over the state.
And that was just yesterday and today. That doesn't count the other calls and visits over the past several weeks.
No one from McCain's camp ever showed up on my porch or called me.

I've lived in Ohio for all my 54 years and have been a political junkie for just as long.
Even after the Hillary win in the primary (which was actually 8 pts., not 10), I knew that the Obama organization, coupled with Ohio trending blue since after 2004 would put Ohio back with the civilized nation.
I waited until now to post this, since for some reason, my home PC won't let me log in to TPM, but my work PC will.
Go figure.

I am originally from Chicago..currently live in Fl. In the Panhandle. Right winged hell. I am in a puddle. I wish I was in Grant Park. Can you imagine....My daughter brought my three-year-old grandson to the polls in Virginia. When they finally got into the building... he looked around, and loudly said "Where is Barack Obama?" Obama owes a debt of thanks to 3 people for this night, and so do we. First, to "toots", for helping mold a young boy into the president elect. Secondly to the lion Ted Kennedy. His endorsement early sent the signal that Obama was ready for this moment. And finally, to Hillary. Without her throwing everything in her arsenal at Pres-elect Obama early, we might not be celebrating.
