Obama Wins Indiana
Big news here: CBS and NBC have now projected that Barack Obama has won the former reliably-red state of Indiana, which last voted Democratic in the Lyndon Johnson landslide of 1964.
With 99% of precincts reporting, Obama has edged out McCain 50%-49%, with a raw vote margin of about 23,000 votes.
This is a state that voted 60%-39% for George W. Bush in 2004. To say this is a watershed is a profound understatement.

Franken 1,133,508 42%
94 percent in and a mix of red and blue for the last 6, but the biggest is Hennepin and is heavy Franken. Going to be very close.

Well that's something. I predicted that Obama would win MO while losing IN, but since they both have 11 EVs, my final prediction of 364 - 174 my end up on the money after all!

I don't disagree with your point that Georgia could most certainly go the other way in a run-off, but using terms like "Regunklicans" is not going to make President Obama's job any easier, no matter how many seats democrats pick up in the Senate.
Graciousness goes a long way. A little empathy right now is desperately needed to move this country forward. I thought that was the trait liberals were most renowned for, so turning that switch on should be easy.
Pillorying republicans is going to make the next four years just as long as the last eight. Don't take a five point victory in the popular vote as license to kneecap the other party and its supporters.

Al's up by 1,003 votes at 96% reporting. Most of the remaining votes are coming out of Duluth and Mpls. That's good insurance because a couple of precincts out state have given McConceded margins of +1,000 and if they're crazy enough to vote for McIamgettingrealfuckingtiredofcomingupwithcleverMcfuckismssofuckhim then they're crazy enough to vote for Coalman.

I called my mother (she lives in UK) right after midnight EST. It was her Birthday and she was lying in bed with my dad drinking pink champagne (Laurent Perrier) and celebrating the fact our country made us both proud beyond words today...

Bush won my county by +14 in 2004. Obama won last night by +15. I haven't seen the breakdown, but my guess is that youth came out to vote this time.
