Help Me Wolf Blitzer, You're My Only Hope
Cable news is certainly no stranger to over-developed on-screen graphics, but this is one for the ages: Jessica Yellin speaking from the ether (Grant Park) to talk to Wolf Blitzer about what's happening in Chicago.
It's an Obi-Wan moment if there ever was one.

Could CNN get Sarah Palin into the studio and beam her out into space? Please?

ridiculous. i mean, sure its neat, but is it really necessary?
i dont see how this helps advance the knowledge of whats going on or in any way adds to the depth of information they can cover.
it's just a shiny new toy. flash over substance.

and this helps the coverage how? it's stupid. it's distracting. it's about the story, not the technology. this is what happens when you let the tech folks decide how to cover a story.

According to Ambinder, the Exit Poll Consortium has called it for Obama. It looks like CNN is sceptical of the exit poll numbers right now. I honestly don't blame them, but it looks like McCain's PA push has crashed and burned.
