Obama Plays Hothead Card

Obama, in response to McCain's criticism of his declaration that he'd pursue Bin Laden into Pakistan, plays the hothead card by pointing to the "bomb bomb bomb Iran" moment, in what seemed like a response Obama had prepared in advance:

Now, Senator suggests that somehow I'm green behind the ears, and I'm just spouting off, and he's somber and responsible.

Senator McCain, this is the guy who sang "bomb bomb bomb Iran." Who called for the annihilation of North Korea. That I don't think is an example of speaking softly. This is the guy who after we had -- we hadn't even finished Afghanistan -- he said, "next up Baghdad."

FIRST! OBAMA IS WINNING! YES!

McCain lost worst then he did last time.

Yeah, everyone in the media is going to call this another draw for a day or two, but Obama's poll numbers are going to move up even more, and they'll be forced to admit Obama is just beating "this one's" ass.

Hey, that moment of Obama's is when I declared him my own personal winner of this debate.

Wow!!!! He's so damn fab.

You know that old saw about matching wits against an unarmed opponent? That's what this debate is making me think of right now.

McCain=pwned.

user-pic

Greg - you're killing me.

Yes or No on a question like is a country Evil.
What kind of question is that?
Stupid bastard.

Stupid question.

McCain laughed! Disgusting!

user-pic

He just keeps repeating what Obama just said - it's fucking eerie at this point!

His bet now is to fool as many people as possible that there would be no difference policy-wise between the two, then people will vote for the old white guy over the young black guy.

It's a crap bet, and he can't even pretend to stand up on issues alone, but it's all he has left.

"Is Russia an Evil Empire?"

Tom, are you retarded?

Uhhhh, yeah?

That was a moment where, if the two candidates didn't loathe each other, they would've laughed together at the thought of a one word answer to that question.

Possibly. I'd say Obama would have laughed at the question, McCain would've resolutely answered 'yes, let's git 'em'.

user-pic

McSame: Cool hand at the tiller?

Hooooo Heeeee!

Repeating but making no damn sense because he buries it under a mountain of b.s and sleaze.

Here we go, pre-conditions. Beat it to death why don't you.

user-pic

God almighty - all he does is repeat Obama and then tell the same fucking lies that have been debunked 50 times - he's such an old man yelling at clouds!

"Get off my lawn you damn clouds!"

Which brings up the question: What is Cindy's problem?

Brokaw is a dick.

I think he has been pretty decent actually.

He can't help it. The poor guy never found a way to get off the tireswing.

Preconditions. Worked so well in the last debate. Are his prep people retarded or what?

BO is in cruise control.

Yeah, he's got all the answers to this test. Killing on the charts on this segment, too.

That military guy seems like a plant.

Gee, how many "undecided voters" are military guys obsessed with the fate of the Jews!

I thought so too, but Obama's answer is SO great !!!

Yes, that UN Security Council reference was a red flag that the question was a plant. The right-wing foam-at-the-mouthers loathe the UN.

user-pic

Obama gives great eye contact - he's killing this audience.

This is beautiful.

I loathe Tom Brokaw and want to see him humiliated publicly.

He's really not helping the atmosphere of this debate. The candidates already hate each other - getting told to wrap it up just annoyed them further.

Tom McBrokaw - Maverick Journalist

Someday I'll be just like him.

I'm so glad the media has played up the townhall debate as McLame's strength because he looks absolutely horrible there. If this is his strong suit, we've been sorely mislead. Obama just looks so damn cool and comfortable in this setting.

BTW, I wanted to say that someone on that stage looks like a stinking corpse right now. But I won't.

Zen like???? Okay, he is a dick.

Please do not insult penis in such a manner my friend.

ohhhh...interesting last question...

user-pic

I'm so sick of hearing McCain saying "My friends".

Why does he not recognize it makes him sound like a used car salesman? It's smarmy hucksterism.

20 times according to my count. Ugh!

Sarah Palin = Wasilla Chihuahua

user-pic

What don't you know and how will you learn it -

He's so good at this shit.

He nailed it.

My guess, McCain will not so much.

The self-depreciating humor with Michelle is good

Schmoopy moment here, but I am so impressed, amazed and happy right now, I might burst with happiness.

What an amazing man.

Michelle is in the house!

I love how Mccain is always writing when Obama talks: "Shit, this is good stuff..."

lol

user-pic

LOL!

quite obviously so.

Oh, was he doing that throughout? I put my son to bed at 9:00, and he doesn't fall asleep right away, so I haven't yet had the chance to watch a single debate all the way through.

So the only time I saw McCain write was when Brokaw asked him to prioritize those three items....I thought he genuinely couldn't keep track of what they were.

OMG, Obama is dropping his "g", Palin is rubbing off on America.

You know, if you say OMG, and you drop the G, then it takes on a zen-like quality....

...OM...

user-pic

Sheesh...

"Senator Obama, define the universe. Give two examples."

ROTFLMAO!

Did Obama just say Michelle is in New Hampshire while she's in the audience? I can just see people picking up on that.

No, he was pointing her out in the audience.

No he said "Michelle is up there" as in the audience.

I kind of missed it if he said that.

What a dumb question... "what don't you know"

That's like the question during employment interviews "What is your weakest quality"

To which people reply "I'm way too organized, and often sacrifice my personal life for my job."

Reminded me of Dumsfeld's "unknown unknowns" gibberish.

Pet pev of mine, IRAN WOULD NOT NUKE IRAN, IRAN WOULD NOT GIVE TERRORIST A NUKE. GAH, Iran = Muslim country, yes? Israel is home of very important Muslim holy sites, why the hell would Iran nuke Israel. They wouldn't gain anything out of it, they know if it happen then they would die in the counterattack and they don't want to blow up holy sites. What Iran's more extremist group wants is the people in Israel to leave the area and have Muslim's in control of the land. Blow Israel off the map = Israel the country not Israel the land.

Iran would not nuke Israel*

user-pic

you're right.

Obama is really hitting hard on pocketbook issues. = Perfect

Obama kinda ducked the question a bit, but I get the feeling that the question wasn't really aimed at him anyway.

Its a stupid question for a debate in the first place.

The question of this election; Are we going to pass on the American Dream to the next generation?

YES!

"our generation" wow, he is off several generations from a lot of voters........

He is following the big O and not going there!

Best phrase of the night (paraphrase):

We've got to have the courage and the nerve to choose a new direction.

user-pic

There is one thing. If Obama is elected (please, please, please) I'd like to see him carry about 15 or 20 more lbs. He's a bit skinny for a President.

Just a thought: Doesn't McCain's gloves-back-on demeanor at the debate make the weekend character attacks look a little foolish? If Obama is truly the dangerous bogeyman that McCain claims, how come he doesn't say those things at the debate. If he goes back out there and starts the smears again, he looks like a two-faced coward.

Looks like?!?

user-pic

just like the dem. debates in february.

Yeah, you're right. Though McIIIrd did refer to Obama as "That One"!

John McCain - all the fresh ideas of a dried prune.

I kinda wish he would have said that he has a curious and inquisitivenes but his answer was good about the Presidency...

user-pic

Here come POW POW POW

"I don't know what the unexpected will be."

Deep, man.

"we hardly know where they are on a map..."

You mean like your Vice President, Senator?

There's the POW card we were waiting for!

NH is not a contested state, as well...

McCain' "What I don't know, I don't know."

Like I don't know where my character is. Or my soul. I don't know!

The knowable unknowns. Now where have I heard that before?

Like no matter where you go you are there?

Oh dear...moment of overload. I'm ripping my new boxset of John Adams for my iPhone and took a moment to watch the scenes from the second continental congress. The thoughts in my head now defy posting.

LOL! I'm sure their debates were a little more gripping...

Talking about countries some of us can't find on a map?

The jokes write themselves.

LOL!!!!

The winner tonight, by unanimous decision:

Senator Barack Obama of Illinois!

The next president of the USA!

Jadakiss - The Champ Is Here

Who began this journey in Springfield..

Its over, BO won.

Its pundit time.

McCain's comment is sooooo prepared.

user-pic

Fuck you Tom Brokaw you total dick!

Thats commentary you can believe in my friend. Tom McBrokaw is a bitch.

Go Big Kahuna!

im waiting for mccain's ARm to fall off while shaking with someone

Wow, Brokaw just revealed himself to be a vapid talkinghead who can't function without a script.

Who knew.

My world was just shattered. The next thing you know, they'll be saying that Cheney was the one in control.

Wow, no Ayers, no Wright, no Keating! Astonishing!

All bluster, no acton. He wimps out on his "taking off the gloves"

George Steph. just said that Obama will likely be viewed as the winner.

Ooooo McCain just refused to shake Obama's hand

You kid..?

Nevermind. Damn. He's such a child...

Fuck you daddy, no...I mean Fuck you Barack.

Once again, Barack is the Top Dog.

David Brooks just gave the edge to McCain.

Shocking

Whoops! I mean Brooks just gave the edge to OBAMA!!!

Wow, now that really surprises me! I just posted that Brooks is a tool for the Repubs, which he is. If he thinks Obama won it, that's huge.

user-pic

Gots a linky, peaches?

user-pic

Never mind, peaches.

Now I'm with ya.

Bobo is trying so hard to no longer be a bobo -

Ain't life grand?

Oh what a surprise. Not. Brooks is a tool and a shill for the Repubs.

McCain hates Obama guts. He didn't shook his hand.

What a fucking douche!

McCain hates losing--no way is he going to shake the hand of the victor...why that would take character.

user-pic

Schmoopy moment here, but I am so impressed, amazed and happy right now, I might burst with happiness.

What an amazing man.

Yes, yes, yes.

Holy shit! CNN just called out McCain on his "disdain" for Obama!

user-pic

{{{{{{{SWOON}}}}}}}}}}

Woot.

Wolf Blitzer, specifically. I was surprised by that.

I don't think this is even close -- a clearer win for Obama than Round 1, IMO.

Tom Brokaw was a fucking tool.

Go back to your Montana ranch and eat a dick, Tom!

user-pic
Go back to your Montana ranch and eat a dick, Tom!

That's uncalled for. Really. You should use the word "penis" instead.

Zing! Will you be here all week? lol

One gay poster to another...not a cool choice of words

user-pic

He didn't shook his hand.

I hope that does not go unnoticed.

Actually, they were shaking hands when Brokaw asked them to get out of the way of his teleprompter.

Ok I jsut got into my work tent here in Afghanistan please tell me our man won

user-pic

looked good to me.

The Big O WON!

user-pic

O yeah -

Gergen: Obama won!

David Brooks is a big silly goose.

Obama was fab, tonight. He was engaged, serious and passionate. He was completely there. McLame was behaving like a concern troll -- my friends, I care, and am very concerned.

McCain is an angry, lying, assacious, fuckwit.

>Holy shit! CNN just called out McCain on his "disdain" for Obama!

Seriously?

Michael Gershin (Bushie) is spinning on PBS. Why so many righties on PBS nowadays?? The GOP hates PBS.

So much that they cut the funding and inffitrate. Will certainly change Jan. 21st!

user-pic

God I love watching this man work this crowd - this is why I love C-Span.

they are showing Obama and Michelle work the crowd and god - white men in that audience are like in love with this guy -

Absolutely. I'm a proud democrat and yet again a proud Barack Obama supporter.

You know, I can finally breathe! Goddammit, what a job by Obama!

Don't need to be a scientist to figure out:Obama Won Hands Down. Easiest call so far. He was head and shoulders above McCain.

Great night for Obama and us supporters. (Incidentally, I cannot recall one guy giving so many great nights to his supporters.)

Roll the polls.

Yes, yes! It was not even close!

If I particiapated in a shot drinking contest based on McCain saying "my Friends," I'd already be dead with alcohol poisoning!

Even the Repugs are bailing

Bill Bennett: McCain wasn't good enough!

So he won! Very, very cool

When Obama mentioned his mother's death while answering the health care question, the debate ended...

user-pic

It's just Obama and Michelle - the McLames left and the Obamas are meeting every single person there and shaking hands, hugging and letting them take their picture.

Hey its late, McCain didn't want to fall asleep handshaking people.

(((SWOON ))

That the shit right there.

Bob Wills would be proud. He always said, "Boys, you shake every hand and sign every autograph casue these are the real folks who puts here".

Gotta love a Bob Wills reference!

Ahh, haaaaa! There's a reason why he had such an obsessive dedicated fan base all those years...

Aaah haa! Yeeeaahh!! Now there's a ringtone for you.

I hate ringtones but for Bob? "Ahh, haaaaa, Take it away Leonnnnnn....." Yes. Thanks!

I'm such a dork...

I only thought of it because of that commercial for Flavor Flav ringtones. "Yo! Pick up the phone, boyyyyyy!" Bob's vocal stylings always made me think of him as the Flavor Flav of western swing.

Good god, I hate it when people say:
"I think the winner was the American people."

Wow! The republican talking heads on CNN are giving it to Obama! Even Bill Bennett!

I know.
I made a conscious decision to NOT hear Buchanan try to feed me the wingnut cheerleading BS like: "John McCain hit it out of the park."
I too tuned into CNN, and saw intellectual honesty.
Whoda thunk it?

user-pic

This is beyond awesome, guys.

The tide has officially turned.

A tide? It's becoming a tsunami!

Praise the Lord/Allah/Buddah/deity(ies)!!

user-pic

Unreal - y'all wouldn't believe - the McLames walked out and left the Obamas the room and it's such a love fest!

It'a All Over, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!

user-pic

What the hell is going on here? Pat Buchanan is calling it for Obama and praising him?

Say whaaaat?

No fucking way!

What the hell is going on here?

Basically what happened is this.

McCain fell into a pail of tits and came out sucking his thumb.

hell has frozen over

user-pic

McSame: uh... uh... abridge their behavior.

I knew he'd do good. Obama is a total professional. He comes prepared.

McCain's got to leave before he blows his stack.

His tone throughout the debate was seriously creepy. He had this menacing whisper combined with a "duh, I can't believe you're making me explain this tone" that set off warning bells. That's the tone of an abusive bully right before he flips out.

Serious question, did McCain ONCE say middle class americans?

No.

user-pic

I take that back. Buchanan said Obama lost it on points. What the fuck does he know anyway?

Poll: Who fared better in Tuesday's presidential debate?

http://www.cnn.com/

Thank you. Lower right hand peeps.

user-pic

This is beyond awesome, guys

Could seven years of Bizarro world and political depression realy be at the beginning of its end?
This is wonderful!

Wow, I think the vibe is very good. McCain missed his opportunity. The consensus is building that Obama won.

I feel so good about this debate. I was a bit surprised how the polls so resoundingly gave the first one to Obama. But this one was so obviously a winner for my guy Obama. I'm feelin' great!

C-SPAN is still rolling. Barack and Michelle are still in the studio talking with the voters and shaking hands. It's now 10:50. John McCain took off a good 15 minutes ago. Whatever he may have done during the debate, he lost it with this group. Now they're taking group photos with Obama.

user-pic

Can you believe it? The just left the room to them and Obama and his wife are still down there answering questions and shaking hands.

user-pic

That is so awesome. This guy just oozes presidentiality. (I know that's not a word.)

Wow, group photo op... how wonderful is that! Who is Obama? He is one of us in the real sense of the word!

I think its over now after Mccain's that one comment meaning Obama and he never shock Obama's hand when it was offered Cindy did but he never did but calling Obama that one has ended it that will be the moment to remember for years right there

Yup. There's your looking at the watch moment, right there.

Yeah, I think it will stick: "That one"

It's snide.

All over the web, and I commented on it when he said "that one", I thought it was horrible, made me cringe. That will be tomorrow's headline, and the handshake I think.

haha.

MSNBC totally stole CNN's opinion graph and undecided focus group idea.

What do they say?

Not like that is anything new.

Of course. But they hadn't done it the last two debates.

They said Obama won but in general the INDs LOVED him.

Norah O'Donnell is so hot.

user-pic

McSame: What I don't know is what the unexpected will be...

On the hothead issue, and the vileness of the recent McCain dive into the hog wallow,,, from Andrew Sullivan:

An Israeli reader writes:

Your post on "The Danger of Obama" immediately brought to mind what happened here in Israel in the period leading up to Yitzhak Rabin's assassination. Even allowing for the differences in political culture between the two countries, some of the sounds we're hearing in the public debate around the election have a haunting echo. Here no one would have thought it possible that an Israeli Jew would take the life of a high official. There's little doubt that the crescendo of demonization toward Rabin – including accusations of treason, flyers picturing Rabin as an SS officer – and the difficulty, in a society guaranteeing free speech, of 'civilizing' the public debate before it creates a fertile bed for actual violence, all helped create the context in which Rabin's murderer decided to take matters into his own hands.

I'd like to see which Republicans will denounce this turn towards demonization. And if there are no takers – maybe Joe Lieberman?

Yeah, I read that at Sully's. Thanks for posting-important info...

Who did the better job connecting with the crowd?

John McCain 2,476 votes
Barack Obama 17,180 votes

http://www.polls.newsvine.com/_question/2008/10/07/1966479-who-did-the-better-job-connecting-with-the-crowd

Thanks again!

Sweet jesus -

Question: did anyone see McCain refuse to shake Obama's hand? I could swear that was what happened and a few other people I was talking with saw it too, but none of the talking heads are mentioning it on TV. Did y'all see that or did I just misconstrue it?

Because if I wasn't hallucinating, that plus calling Obama "that one" smacks of the worst kind of racism imaginable.

He moved away from Obama, but I really do not think that he saw Obama going for the handshake. McCain would not be so politically dumb as to recoil from a handshake.

I'm not so sure. You'd think he wouldn't be politically dumb enough to call Obama "that one", either.

He is not politically dumb enough to call Obama "that one". But, he is old enough.

Front page

I saw it and didn't think it looked deliberate. More of an awkward moment. I could be wrong, though. Josh is putting video on the front page shortly.

Looked at the video, I don't think John saw the hand from Obama. McCain nodded at him and then presented his wife, far from a blow off.

user-pic

The (attack) dog that didn't bark in the night?

Debate summary: Beat down.

The "That one" line is the talk of the web.

That will become a huge problem for McCain.

The handshake snub is too.

Sorry, but the handshake is a sign of sportsmanship. It's pathetic that McCain can't follow basic rules of society.

He's still spendingt time at the center, with the audience. I think O' knows he has won. He looks so confident.

I read that Barack and Michelle even posed for a group picture with the remaining audience members...

One drunk to another, Mike Murphy is LIT UP!

Sullivan's got the "That one" video up. It looks just as bad as it sounded.

But wouldn't it be cool to mash that clip up with one of McSame's "enough finger pointing" soundbites?

user-pic

I love this man so much - that last moment with the older white guy as they finally getting Obama out of there as just awesome!

C-Span totally rocks. I just don't listen to the phone calls.

user-pic

Cindy did (shake Obama's hand) but he never did

And Obama just let the card with her phone # drop to the floor. She'll never forgive him for that.

I don't care what the "justifications" are, there's NO EXCUSE. (Well, it is *McCain* after all)

user-pic

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

zing!

I wonder why I wasn't included in the Columbus group at Ohio State on CNN....

you're not exactly undecided

Oh well....

Book it!

I hope you aren't tiring of that...

I guess it is getting old...like McCain.

NOTHING is that old.

Andrew Sullivan below:

10.33 pm. This was, I think, a mauling: a devastating and possibly electorally fatal debate for McCain. Even on Russia, he sounded a little out of it. I've watched a lot of debates and participated in many. I love debate and was trained as a boy in the British system to be a debater. I debated dozens of times at Oxofrd. All I can say is that, simply on terms of substance, clarity, empathy, style and authority, this has not just been an Obama victory. It has been a wipe-out.It has been about as big a wipe-out as I can remember in a presidential debate. It reminds me of the 1992 Clinton-Perot-Bush debate. I don't really see how the McCain campaign survives this.

I have to agree with the sentiment. Obama was very strong tonight. McCain wasn't bad really, but Obama was on another level.

user-pic

Tweety is such a twit.

CNN's Campbell Brown and Jeffery Tubin hate each other.

So who do they think won?

Word.

Memo to CNN: For the next debate, bring Cafferty!

if Cafferty shows up he will be kicking ass and taking names.

Word. He's the man!

user-pic

This is where the momentum becomes, as Tom Petty says, "unstoppable"!

The video looks like McCain taped Obama on the back and then Obama went for the handshake and McCain pointed to his wife then he gave her a handshake and McCain backed off.

Yeah, I agree. McCain turned away and Obama knows the deal...

"Pistols at dawn"

Obama was fine. Much better than last time. McCain looks like he's ready to blow a gasket. Obama extends his lead.

user-pic

All I can say is that, simply on terms of substance, clarity, empathy, style and authority, this has not just been an Obama victory. It has been a wipe-out.

Well, whadayuno!

Politico Wire:

The Second Presidential Debate
Tonight's debate wasn't even close. Sen. Barack Obama ran away with it -- particularly when speaking about the economy and health care. Talking about his mother's death from cancer was very powerful. On nearly every issue, Obama was more substantive, showed more compassion and was more presidential.

In contrast, Sen. John McCain was extremely erratic. Sometimes he was too aggressive (referring to Obama as "that one.") Other times, he just couldn't answer the question (on how he would ask Americans to sacrifice.) And his random attempts at jokes (hair transplants?) were just bad.

What happened to all of the tough talk and nasty rhetoric that has come from McCain and Palin over the past few days? When Obama is in the room, the old white-haired guy isn't so ballsy with throwing the mud.

All mouth McCain.

Apparently it was a headfake. Many pointed out that nasty doesn't work well in townhalls.

But expect the last debate ot be meaner.

OR perhaps, more winsome. Will McCan give a swansong tpye valedictory?

CNN: Obama 54% - 30%!

user-pic

Woo Hoo!~

I knew that would make you happy!

54-30 folks, WHOOPED THAT ASS EASY!!

I have checked "who won the debate" polls on CNN, MSNBC and the Chicago Tribune. Each one has BO winning, with more than 80% of the vote. That is not a typo!

Fox News has no poll. I can only assume that they could not live with the outcome of such a vote.

Yeah, they're "reasessing" their whole modus operandi now...

"President Obama"

Just trying it out .... got to get used it.

And this debate will make their smear attack look even pettier and smaller. I'm so happy about it!

I want a "That One '08" t-shirt

And a bumper sticker too!

I got you covered on the minimum for an order

Josh has been asking about the non-handshake after the debate ended. But NBC ended their coverage with a replay of the handshake that occurred just before Brokaw asked Obama and McCain to get out of the way so he could read his teleprompter.

The video Josh has up reflects what occurred later. I got the sense that McCain is jokingly telling Obama, "we already shook hands," so Obama shakes Cindy's.

In other words, tempest in a teapot.

Beyond all that -- McCain should get used to addressing his rival as President.

Yeah, it seems to typically be the first thing debaters do.

"That one" was a lot weirder and more likely to gain attention.

I wonder if McCain refered to Cindy like this:

You already shook my hand. Shake hands with THIS ONE.

LOL

McCain's comment referring to BO as "..that one..." is not playing well in pundit land.

CNN just played the "That one" moment again. OMG. This could become the game changer moment of this election. McCain is going to suffer for this little moment all the way to November 4th.

The economy is the game changer. "That one" is just something the media will blab about for a few hours.

You're right, no question about that.

But that single moment of McCain's sincere disdain for Obama is going to hurt McCain a lot. Some voters take this little moments seriously (I'm not one of them) but this soundbite will stick.

I view it a bit differently. I honestly think he could not recall Obama's name for a split second so he fell back on "that one". Either way, it is negative.

And if this is a negative that keeps hurting McCain for a week or so, I am all for it.

Well, it doesn't matter anymore.

Obama is more closer than ever of victory!

Now I just don't want a victory. I want a landslide!

And that's our objective for November 4th. Let's make it happen: Donate, volunteer, vote!

Ba-rockslide!

My take : McCain, he meant to say something like, "You'll never guess which Senator here voted for it... That One!" But he missed out the first part, and will now pay the price.

user-pic

Wouldn't it be a "given", part of the ritual of a debate for the two candidates to shaje hands at the end. That's just common decency, right, to shake hands with your opponent? And McCain must know that?

But they did -- see three posts up.

McCain has devolved into a disrespectful jerk.

Any class he had went out the window when he had to sell his soul to the wingnutz of the Repub party.

What's up with the Stepford children in McCain hats in the spin room? Seriously creeping me out.

Jesus H. Christ on a whole wheat cracker, McPowlin is paying the price for crapping on the MSM tonight. Even the Republican pundits are creaming him on both CNN and MSNBC.

Yeah I watched in amazement. They are all resigned to defeat. Just like Lalo and SFCWallace.

Damn. Where is ol' Lalo?

I feel bad for him, one day he just couldn't keep the resolve to continue logging on. He said, "Why do I bother acting like a concerned Obama supporter. No matter what I do, Obama will still win this thing. Well, I guess it's timme to go back to watching NASCAR and harming small animals". And thats the last we ever saw of Ol'Lalo.

user-pic

Wowie wow wow!

You're sure it's because they crapped on the MSM? I think it has more to do with his horseshit performance tonight and Obama's complete control.

Even *they* can't put lipstick on this pig...

Well, if that had made the slightest difference to their narrative in the first one and the VP debate, I'd agree.

Overall it was a boring debate but Obama won hands down. Anybody notice how almost all of McCain's jokes fell flat?

user-pic

I got the sense that McCain is jokingly telling Obama, "we already shook hands,"

Yup, wouldn't wanna do that more than once?

This That No Other has a fair question for McCain:

This That No Other

user-pic

I see. Oh to be a fly on the window of the car driving McCain from the studio.

LOL!!!!

Wow, CNN broke down the poll by issues. On finance and economy, Obama won by 20+%. Also won by single digits on Iraq, though McCain won by single digits on terrorism.

Damn. That terrorism number just mystifies me. I guess its that ol' "Republicans are the daddy party"/fear crap left over from Bush...

The CNN pundits are killing McCain.

user-pic

Bam! Right in the kisser. That's got to smart.

McCain is correct....BO "is the one". Did anyone noticed his nose became red after BO knock him down on the bomb bomb iran

I can see SNL writers thinking.... THAT ONE, lets use THAT ONE.

It could not stop thinking that John McCain was hopped up on something. He just could not sit still, or stand still. His eyes look like squirrel piss holes in the snow.

They had him juiced to the max.

It looks like their internal tracking polls told them that their terrorist smears were backfiring, since he did not even hint at it tonight.

Nah, he's just old. That chair was too high for him and created funny pressure points. You could see he was pacing around and standing leaning against things. He was physically uncomfortable all night, and I think that would effect ones answers. Not defending his answers, but seeing him pace around like that made me feel empathy for the guy.

Getting old sucks.
