McCain Spokesperson: We All Know Who Obama's Anti-Semitic Pal Is
Some must-watch video: McCain spokesperson Michael Goldfarb, pressed on CNN to name Obama's anti-semitic associates, pulls a bit of a homina homina homina.
He seems to want to blurt out "Jeremiah Wright" but is of course aware that John McCain is on record saying that Wright isn't an issue for his campaign. Check out Goldfarb's creative solution to the dilemma:
Pressed to name a single anti-semitic associate of Obama's, Goldfarb says: "I think we all know who we're talking about here," but declines to say who.
That sums up the entire McCain campaign in a nutshell, doesn't it?
Also: A good point from Atrios on this.

So McCain gives this guy $500,000 but that doesn't matter since Obama attended a gathering with him? Makes a helluva lot of sense to me.
Also I have a CT on this - McCain is blocking the release of this tape because the rumors are better than what's really there. So the source who gave it to the LAT is a GOP operative - the LAT would write about it to get the story out, and then the McCain Camp could make issue with the Times not releasing it until after the election to make it seem that there is something really damning on it.
I do wish Obama would hit back, maybe an ad highlighting McCain's desperate tactics would be nice. I don't know why McCain won't "go there" with Wright, as it's glaringly obvious Obama won't hit back with Hagee/Parsley or Palin's witch hunter or Jews for Jesus links.
Is it so McCain can pretend (in his own mind) that he campaigned with honor because he held fire with Wright?

Khalidi is a respected academic and historian at Columbia University who speaks out on behalf of the oppressed and abused Palestinian people, a people who've been made to pay for the crimes of the Germans. Even the loathsome Douchewitz only calls him "anti-Israel", but Douchewitz calls anyone who's not a rabid supporter of Israel, right or wrong, "anti-Israel".
If, like me, you happen to be a Jewish critic of Israel's policies towards the Palestinians, Douchwitz calls you a "self-hating Jew". Faugh. Obama should tell Douchewitz to take his mealy-mouthed support and shove it up his anti-free speech ass...

Khalidi was also invited - several times - to speak at the reform synagogue in the University of Chicago neighborhood. It would be fatuous to claim that everyone agreed with his political views but it is a repulsive slander to say that he is anti-Semitic.
It is rare that one has the opportunity on one of these blogs to say that something is so from personal knowledge (rather than opinion or conviction), but I knew Khalidi when he lived in Chicago, I knew some of his many Jewish friends, and I know with certainty that there is not one atom of truth in this charge against him. It makes me sick to hear CNN echo this garbage.

McCain/Palin spokesperson Michael Goldfarbโs cheatโ in heart really just got a little ahead of the script with the anti-semitic associates slime line. We all know Goldfarbโs trash talk is pure BS.
Obama does not have a mean bone in his body. He thinks, and wonders, and considers reality. How lucky is that? How lucky our country will be to have him as a decent role model for the people? We have followed this fellow, and read and listened to so many things he has said. Obama is the real deal. It is up to us not to let him down. Obama is putting his life on the line for us. Can you actually believe we may soon have a leader that we the people will not want to disappoint? We have never known such a leader. Maybe not since Washington. I think they have a lot in common. I think if Obama had lived then we may not have had much to write about between 1860-1865. We are about to do great things, finally in this country. The sad fact is that these McCain/Palin stooges know it too. They had better take care pushing all that hate or else they soon may find themselves in deep therapy sessions for a long time to come. They are on the wrong side of reality.
This is a historic moment and we are first person witnesses to the death spiral of the Republican Party. These fools are so beyond the paved surface of civilization that nearly every sentence sounds like it came from the generation who believed the world was flat. The crazy thing is their howling followers living today hate science, fear diversity, think being dumb is cool and probably wish they could own slaves. Their approach to solving the grand issues of the day is seen through a lens of power and greed fostered by a delusion of right because God must be on their side.
The Republican Party cry out it believes in freedom. Not freedom to explore new avenues in embryonic stem cell research to cure cancer. Not freedom for mature human beings because they happen to be women. In the Republican Partyโs world men folk tell women folk what to do. Why Republican men know full well that women are unable to make ethical decisions concerning their own bodies. Amazing all the things Republicans have in common with Bin Laden. The curtain is pulled back now and the puppet masterโs fingers donโt have the strength they once did to deceive the people on that special day. The Republican Party is the problem. Its motto is kick them to the curb, I need to get by and you are in my way. McCain/Palin made the mistake of not choosing wisely, but that is there problem.
McCain/Palin never had a chance to walk the High Road. The Republican Party simply can not find that road on any map they own. Todayโs Republican Partyโs best described as a wolf in sheep clothing. Not one year has gone by since the passage of the Voting Rights Act that has found the Republican Party walking the High Road. Their bait and switch sign post up ahead has taken America instead to the Twilight Zone. Too many good intentions followed a route off the track via an exit called Conservative. In reality we now know the code talk translates into national division among our people and the Republican Partyโs High Road really means Supremacist.
The Republican Party was once an honorable, decent thoroughfare where intellect and egalitarian thinking reigned. Men like Lincoln, and T. Roosevelt and Eisenhower were the key models of leadership our country proudly followed for the past nearly 150 years. All that changed with the Civil Right era of the early 1960s. Since then the Republican Partyโs leadership has been test marketing their sales pitch of division among the demographic nationally. They have been grooming the fringe element in our society to be afraid of one another and distrust our common dependence on one another instead of educating our people, reaching out to the poor by working together to expand our collective thinking and rise to a better common purpose throughout our nation. The motive at the top is of course greed and the love of greed. Perhaps we are witnessing the clock running out on the Republican Party as the light of day soaks them to the skin.
Since the Republican Partyโs post 1965 Conservative movement began, their central theme has been based on one element called fear. It has been through the Republican Partyโs spreading of fear that raised them to such dizzying heights of domination and national control. Now not unlike the poker playing gambler down on his luck with the only way of bouncing back, he must double down his bet do we see the McCain/Palin duo applying their brand in double dose. The same card of fear they so effectively played to divide the nation for so many years in the past did not work as planned this time around. In the final days of this election even with mapquest the Republican Party can not get to the High Road.

Not to be anti-semitic or anything, but this guy Goldfarb is a perfect excuse to hate morons -- whether they are Jewish or not. When it comes to political stupidity, I'm an equal opportunity hater. Christian, Jew, Muslim, atheist, if you vote for John McCain, you are a total f-cking idiot. No doubt about it.
You are voting for a man who supported a totally unnecessary, preemptive, bloody and expensive war on Iraq that is costing patriotic Americans over ten billion dollars a month, while at the same time voting to keep Bush's tax cuts on millionaires in time of war.
What part of fairness and democracy and the "American Way" don't you get, John McCain?
You want to give your wife (who's worth over $100 million dollars), almost another million dollars in tax cuts while you continue the War on Iraq for possibly another 100 years?
You really think Americans are idiots, don't you, Mr. Bottom of his Class at the Naval Academy?
You happen to be right about most Americans being idiots -- see the election (or Supreme Court "selection") of George W. Bush. But I think enough Americans have seen the error of their ways. We've suffered too much with W. and his sycophants like you and Joe Lieberman.
2008 is going to be different. The American people have wised up to war-mongers and protectors of the rich like you and George W. Bush.
You are going to go down, big-time.

Not to be anti-semitic or anything, but this guy Goldfarb is a perfect excuse to hate morons -- whether they are Jewish or not. When it comes to political stupidity, I'm an equal opportunity hater. If the McCain campaign gets any classier, I just don't know what I'll do.

My take on this is that he was referring to Farrakhan. Earlier in the campaign there seemed to be a concerted effort to try to make a direct line from Wright to Farrakhan. That failed. BUt this dingus on CNN wants to go there but can't say the name, since it is so clearly false.
