Latest McCain Robo-Slime Says Obama Endangers American Lives
The Huffington Post obtains one of the ugliest specimens of McCain robo-slime yet, recorded by fellow McCain POW Orson Swindle:
"Democrats attempt to cut off crucial troop funding. Accuse our troops of war crimes. And Senator Biden predicts Senator Obama will be tested. A weak president will indeed be tested. Obama and Democrat's politics endanger American lives. They are not qualified to lead our military and our country. When you vote, vote for the team that puts leadership, character and country first. John McCain."

It's worth noting an interesting phenomenon: The tidal wave of McCain robo-slime has now become so overwhelming that the individual calls no longer make news, no matter how disgusting they are.
What we're seeing here is another case of DSD syndrome -- Defining Slime Down. The press isn't interested in robo-slime-gate anymore. The calls aren't news. So now that McCain has weathered the first round of bad press attending his initial wave of calls, he will now be able to keep the calls going under the radar, at ever slimier levels, right through Election Day, without the big news orgs reporting on it anymore.

Considering the Republiklan party did not supply enough funding for body armor for the troops and that families had to buy body armor this makes the Republiklan party statements hypocritical lies.

Yeah, but what difference does it make? It just shows that they are committed to blowing their money on something, anything, to make it over the finish line and then go home.
The fact that the final weeks will fatally tarnish McCain's legacy is just a byproduct of Rovian politics at work. And the fact that McCain knows that and can't stop himself is tragic. But I still don't give a shit.

Meh, McCain likely wanted the free MSM coverage from these calls. Also in saving his worst slime for last, most folks have long since given up listening to robo-calls, except the dead-ender true believers who wouldn't be voting Obama anyways.
Is there stats available regarding how many calls are listened to through to completion vs how many are instantly hung up on (and anything in between)?

Someone posted the other day (can't remember who it was or where it was) that they used to work for a telemarketing firm, and their statistics showed that about 1,100 out of ten million calls were listened to until the very end.

For some strange reason, McCain is acting like he's having an Alzheimer's seizure if there is such a condition. He reminds me of some elderly people living in resthomes that aren't quite in touch with reality; they're reliving their past in the present day.
As we enter the final 10 day countdown, I find McCain's antics - not tactics - to be questionable to the point of asking, Why would anyone want to vote for him?

Vote for the "team" that puts CHARACTER first?
Certainly the McCain campaign and GOP - especially by reinventing themselves as the 21st party of Jim Crow - continue to Define Slime Down. This has followed a consistent path, particularly since the emergence of Rovian-style campaign slime innovated by Lee Atwater's efforts for Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, which, of course, evolved into the slickly sinister, highly refined slime specialization made infamous by Karl Rove.
But what is even more outrageous and disgusting than this slime itself is this society's TOLERATION of it - especially the common acceptance by the mainstream media. As Greg Sargent notes, the slime has become such a cultural norm it isn't even "news" anymore. That this has occurred should be frightening to all of us.
As a result, the SLIMERS can now PROMOTE their CHARACTER - as Orson Swindle is doing in this robocall. And while (hopefully) they'll lose this time around, the reality is that tens of millions of the voting public in this country will embrace this sliminess - this CHARACTER - as the accepted norm. That's the most sickening outcome of all.
