In New McCain Robocall, Rudy Giuliani Suggests Obama Opposes Jailing Murderers And Rapists

It was perhaps predictable that the task of recording the worst of McCain's robo-slime -- the worst so far, at least -- would fall to Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani has recorded a new McCain robocall in which he suggests, in effect, that Barack Obama doesn't think sex offenders, drug dealers and murders should have to go to jail, according to Jennifer Henderson, a stay-at-home mom in Maine who tells us she received the call.

Readers in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Ohio, and Colorado also report receiving the same call. Here's audio:

Script:

Hi, this is Rudy Giuliani, and I'm calling for John McCain and the Republican National Committee because you need to know that Barack Obama opposes mandatory prison sentences for sex offenders, drug dealers, and murderers.

It's true, I read Obama's words myself. And recently, Congressional liberals introduced a bill to eliminate mandatory prison sentences for violent criminals -- trying to give liberal judges the power to decide whether criminals are sent to jail or set free. With priorities like these, we just can't trust the inexperience and judgment of Barack Obama and his liberal allies. This call was paid for by the Republican National Committee and McCain-Palin 2008 at 866 558 5591.

Note that Rudy claims Obama "opposes mandatory prison sentences" for rapists and murders, Rudy is actually referring to Obama's opposition to specific mandatory minimum sentences. By dropping the word "minimum," he's insinuating that Obama opposes mandatory prison sentences in general.

This just might be the sleaziest exercise in robo-slime yet. Congrats, Rudy!

Late Update: Ben Smith has a very interesting example of a new genre in McCain slime. Every day a new innovation!

Late Late Update: The Obama campaign sends over a response from Tom Nee, president of the National Association of Police Organizations. Read it after the jump.

"This is one of the most dishonest attacks yet from an increasingly dishonest, dishonorable campaign. It is a fact that Senator McCain voted against putting more police on the street, outlawing cop killer bullets, voted against Justice Department grants that would help local police keep our nation's neighborhoods safe and he even voted against the Violence Against Women Act, while Senator Obama voted to crack down on crime, target gangs, put rapists away and was endorsed by the National Association of Police Organizations. It's clear that Senator McCain and his agents would rather distort facts and scare people than talk about his disastrous public safety and economic policies that offer no change from the last eight years."

Holy Cow. This will make the MSM for sure and they will go down in shame.

user-pic

I certainly hope it makes the MSM -- but I wouldn't be surprised if the hubbub over Palin's wardrobe drowns it out.

But my larger questions is this: This is what Rudy has been doing for the last few months? We haven't seen or heard from him on the campaign trail... and for that matter, what the hell happened to Fred Thompson? Wasn't he going to be the 'Messiah' for the GOP?

Tee-hee-hee.

http://thepajamapundit.com/

user-pic

Has the source of these phone calls been verified as originating from Obama yet?

Because without proof of verification, they could have come from anyone. Believing what you what to believe without proof is the sign of an idiot.

Only listening to those who support your beliefs without ever seriously considering criticism is the sign of an idiot.

user-pic

Besides that, did anyone pay attention to the fact that Obama wants to get rid of the minimum sentence for pedophiles, rapists, and murderers?

That means you can rape a baby, kill it, and walk away with a 5 dollar fine. Personally, I believe minimum sentencing is appropriate in order to see that justice is done.

user-pic

More popgun attacks. Anyone dumb enough to be fooled by this stuff is probably going to vote for McCain anyway - assuming they manage to not get lost on their way to the polling place.

user-pic

It just keeps getting worse and worse. I see a major slap down coming on Rudy by Biden.

user-pic

Deja vu all over again...

http://pufferfish.typepad.com/

user-pic

Of course it is Rudy - he's Wormtongue.

He's just revolting, really. Anyone who believe this shit - well, they're already voting the fascist ticket anyway.

user-pic

That's what gets me about this campaign, though. Even really odious Presidential candidates in the past, like Richard Nixon, made at least an effort to appear as though they wanted the votes of everyone they could get (it wasn't all Southern Strategies). McCoprophagy's campaign, by stark contrast, is almost defiantly vacuum-packed, totally impregnable by ordinary reality; as if they genuinely believed they have virtually all voting demographics locked up and the reactionary nut wing of the Republican party was the only segment of the electorate still in play.

Mind you, I love . . . dearly love . . . to see the McCain campaign drowning in its own bile like this, but I'd also love to know what standard of competence this crowd thinks they're living up to with these dead-on-arrival strategems. Other words . . . what in the hell are they thinking?

user-pic

Wow--had to pull out the dictionary for that one (and my mom's an English teacher)! But that's the perfect descriptor!

user-pic

I know a coprophagic dog; a Corgie. Same species as McC.

user-pic

Wasn't Rudy a respected public figure at one time? This is a sad way to fritter away what political capital he had left. I wonder what's in this for him?

user-pic

On September 10th, Rudy was disliked in NY City, and people were looking forward to him leaving office.

On September 12th, Rudy was "America's mayor".

Same Rudy. Different media reaction.

user-pic

And before being elected mayor, he was a vicious megalomaniac US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he ran the office like a cult of personality and kept all his assistant USA's at each other throats.

user-pic

You know, I always wondered if the U.S. attorney who killed his employee/mistress in that Law and Order episode was based on Rudy - pretty sure the episode was after his mayoralty.

user-pic
This is a sad way to fritter away what political capital he had left.

He's invested it all in junk bonds.

user-pic

Rudy wasn't respected. He was overrated, especially after 9/11. Some people refer to him as a hero and/or America's mayor. He doesn't deserve either title.

user-pic

Don't you think Rudy's looking for a cabinet post?
along with all the other Repugs spewing trash.

user-pic

That nasty fucker probably recorded the message with glee. I swear--there are many repubs I dislike, but I think he's evil. There's just nothing redeeming about him. He is a failed human.

user-pic

IANAL but, slander?

user-pic

He could sue, but he won't prevail.  Public figure and all that.

Besides, that approach shows defensiveness and is interpreted as weakness.  Better to just hit back, maybe from a totally different angle.  Lord knows there's so many of them.

user-pic

Naw, that can't be Rudy. Must be an imposter.

Not one mention of Nine-Eleven.

user-pic

Judges are liberal.

user-pic

Yeah.  All those Reagan, GHWB, and Dubya appointees.

user-pic

GOP War Room Schemers: Let's see.... Black, radical, Islamist, infanticidal socialist commie and shameful surrender monkey who pals around with terrorists. What's missing?

Giuliani: Any way we can get a Willie Horton going?

GOPWRS: Let's get you on that one, Rudy.

user-pic

Dirty filthy commie hippie pinko faggot freak?

user-pic

This has stopped being amusing at this point.

Our country is screwed if McCain somehow manages to scare enough people into voting for him.

user-pic
This has stopped being amusing at this point.

Quite so.  These are the dog days of the campaign.  They're just playing out the string.

Horrific car crashes do get a lot of drivers' attention, but after seeing one or two a day, rubbernecking loses its appeal right quick.

Our country is screwed if McCain somehow manages to scare enough people into voting for him.

Ain't gonna happen.

user-pic

I am so glad this man was not mayor when I moved to New York City. He makes my skin crawl. America's mayor my foot. He is completely overrated and should not be trusted, ever. I don't know why McCain would have him as a surrogate.

user-pic
I don't know why McCain would have him as a surrogate.

Considering how many decent and upstanding Republicans have abandoned the McCain albatross, there aren't too many surrogates available to them. Rudy is truly the bottom of the barrel, the substance found in a NYC gutter that creates an awful stench if you step in it on a hot summer day.

user-pic

Hit another low. Hopefully Biden will bitch-slap him.

user-pic

I called my dad, a staunch Republican who lives in Florida, this morning. The machine picked up, and when I started to leave my message, he picked up the phone.

He said he was now forced to screen all his calls as he was getting so many robocalls. He said all of them were coming from the Republicans. He sounded pissed off about it too. He also said the RNC was calling him what seemed like every fifteen minutes.

user-pic

I'm hoping their robocalls annoy people so much they will BADLY backfire.

user-pic

on an unrelated note:

I miss Matthew Weaver.

user-pic

He's doing McCain robocalls in Watkins Glen, NY.

user-pic

Last spring, the RNC started called for my husband because he used to be a Repug.

They called all the time; the last time they called, it was actually woman calling from New Gingrich's office.

I had too much fun - they weren't robocalls. I got to laugh and laugh and laugh in Newt's secretary's face until she got annoyed and said "Ok, Ok" and hung up.

user-pic

Glad to hear you converted him! :-)

We've got only cell phones, so haven't had to put up with any of this slime.

user-pic

I never answer my phone. I let everything go to voice mail. I hate talking on the phone after being on the phone all day at the office.

Having said that, I live in Florida and the only robo calls that I have heard are from Vern Buchanan and Bob Grahm urging eveyone to go out and vote early.

user-pic

Funny how those mandatory prison sentences didn't apply to Cindy's run in with the law.

user-pic

When is someone going to bring to national attention the fact that Obama:

eats puppies!

and skins kittens alive - for fun!

and - and - and serves tofu at Thanksgiving!

When are the repugs going to stop treating Obama with kid gloves?!?!?!?!

user-pic

Like all Real Americans, I am concerned about Obama's views on puppy eating. Why won't he tell us the whole story? What is he hiding?

user-pic

It wasn't just tofu on Thanksgiving, it was Tofurkey! Is nothing sacred?

user-pic

I believe there was some Arugula in there somewhere!

user-pic

I believe there was some Arugula in there somewhere!

user-pic

OMG! Puppies? Like beagle puppies???

OMG!

OMG!

OMG!

And the Tuxedo Cats?! Even worse!!

user-pic

McCain is out of money - He makes a robocall on the extreme cheap and then gets called on t by the MSM to defend it, at which they replay it and he says "It's absolutely true" - all for the cost of a robocall.

user-pic

This is for all of us that worry: a very uplifting article sure to please all but SFCWallace and friends.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/njonline/ot_20081021_3912.php

user-pic

Nice piece, but Charlie Cook really needs to see about getting another toupee. That one looks like a badger sitting on top of his head.

user-pic

You SO owe me for screen cleaner after that comment.

It does look like a small, very dead, animal perched up there.

user-pic

The check's in the mail, my friend.

user-pic

Thanks for that.

I love it that an "expert" also questions whether the Bradley Effect was ever anything other than a fiction.

user-pic

And we've still got 13 days to go folks. At the rate they're going, I'd say that the last few days of the campaign we'll be seeing/hearing ads reduced down to them just screaming "Vote for Obama and Die!". Just a guess on my part.

user-pic

That's too subtle. It'll be "Obama's going to kill you and your family!"

user-pic

Actually, here's the counterresponse (from Politico):

HOUSTON, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. K.A. Paul, the man the New Republic magazine called the world's most popular Christian evangelist, today endorsed Senator Barack Obama for President of the U.S. ...

"Number one, speaking from an evangelical perspective, the current administration, I believe, has delayed the second coming of Jesus," he said.

Translation: if you vote for McCain, you delay the second coming.

I like it!

user-pic

...with friends like these...*eyeroll*

user-pic

I knew that had to be out there.

I'm surprised he didn't just say he was the anti-Christ.

I wish one of those End Timers would explain to me just why they think God would let them bring on the Rapture on purpose.

Isn't the timing up to Jesus? They've been trying to manipulate reality to fit the prophecies for years. Who told them God said that was ok?

user-pic

OMG! I've been thinking the same thing. Won't God be a little pissed if they try to mess with HIS schedule?

user-pic

This from the man whose incompetence, cronyism and arrogance are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of firefighters on 9/11 because after nearly eight years in office, he failed to get them radios that worked in the World Trade Center -- and because he located his emergency bunker next door to the number one terrorist target in the country against the advice of all security experts.

user-pic

I guess when you need to call upon Rudy the Ratf*cker, you've totally sold your soul to Lee Atwater's Hell. What a despicable PoS.

user-pic

The more robocalls Rudy "Nosferatu" Giuliani makes for McShame, the lower his poll numbers will go. Do your worst, Mr. 911!

user-pic

I wonder if Rudy is at all upset that the RNC bought clothes for the Palin clan?

God, if Rudy knew about that perk, he might have stayed in the primaries longer! He and his wife could have had the RNC buy them matching dresses from Saks!

user-pic
He and his mistress could have had the RNC buy them a better love shack!
Fixed your post for ya. :-)

BTW, I dig seeing your young Keith Richards avatar. Quite refreshing from his usual train wreck look.

user-pic

What is the sentence for lying the country into war?

user-pic

Is there still a death penalty for treason?

user-pic

Dogs barking at cars...

What are they gonna do if they actually get the car?

user-pic

Some one needs to put Rudy out of his misery.
He has become so full of it since he lost the nomination it is not even funny.

Take your meds Rudy and find a nice quiet corner to sit in for awhile...........

To think I actually thought this clown had some sense at one point. Boy was that close.

user-pic

As any parent knows, if a child has a tantrum to get its way and you give in to him, he just throws more tantrums. But if you finally see the error of your ways and start ignoring the tantrums, they don't stop - at least not right away - they get worse as he just escalates the behavior he's learned. This is what's happening to McCain. As the American people tune out these attacks he just gets more and more shrill.

Thirteen more days and they'll all go away.

user-pic

See, if Obama had done those town halls like McCain wanted, Rudy wouldn't have had to make those calls.

O/T: thank you for that very clear explanation about the standard error, and weighting by sample size.

user-pic
See, if Obama had done those town halls like McCain wanted, Rudy wouldn't have had to make those calls.
That statement alone from McCain should be his biggest disqualifier as it says the most about his personality. Every time I hear that quote it reminds me of the wife-beater who blames his wife for "forcing" him to beat her.
user-pic

Precisely. Why don't people like David Brooks, Broder and Ignatius get that? John McCain is a decent and honorable man only when it suits his purpose. If he perceives someone else as behaving dishonorably, he takes that as a license to behave the same way.

That's not my definition of decent and honorable.

user-pic

The best thing to do with a public tantrum is to walk away from the child. Once he realizes that he has no audience and he's among strangers, the shrieking stops and the child becomes immediately attentive to the parent's every request.

user-pic

This is off topic but check out this cool web site.

http://yeswecarve.com/

I'm gonna carve me a nice pumpkin this year. :)

user-pic

I hate the phone too.

It depends on what caller ID tells me whether I pick it up or not.

I think it's fallout from being a lawyer, when every time the phone rang it was a problem. That and having taken care of elderly parents. Then every time the phone rang it was a nightmare.

user-pic

That was supposed to go way back upthread as a reply to Jeannie See.

user-pic

But I agree. I too hate the phone. Getting rid of the land line helped quite a bit. Most calls were for asap tests at hospital, necessary but demanding, I know exactly what you mean :)

user-pic

Of course Obama opposes punishing murderers and rapists. I mean not only is he black, but a Democrat.

Willie Horton anyone?

(Yes, that was snark).

user-pic

Rudy is less than relevant, at this point, I'd say.

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=31141555

user-pic

Why the hell would you use Rudy to appeal to swing states?

user-pic

Excellent question.

user-pic

Maybe the answer can be found in the behavior of the two robocallers who quit. Some people are principled enough not to make such calls, which left..........Rudy!

user-pic

9/11

And if you have any other questions....

9/11

user-pic

At this point, it's easy to imagine the demoralized McShame "strategists" sitting around a conference table littered with empty beer bottles and trash, and throwing out the most ludicrous "campaign" ideas they can think of, and then saying stuff like, "Works for me!" or "What the hell? Why Not!!" or, "Go for it, dude!"

user-pic

I'm asking myself the same question. When we moved to WI from upstate NY, we got these "looks" for the NY license plate. And we were quick to make the change!

So... why would they think Rudy would go over well in WI?

I just got a robo call, but not from Rudy. Complaining about Barack saying we "cling to our guns." Well... I've never had a gun. Don't plan on getting one. And besides... that is recycled from the primary.

I'll try and record if they call again (per instructions from Greg). I'm charging up my iPod and I hope the recording thing works. Or maybe it will record on voicemail.

These folks are really, really scraping the very bottom of the barrel... the rotted wood.

user-pic

So did I.

Here's the text:

For John McCain and the RNC, because Barack Obama says Midwest folks like us cling to our guns because we're bitter. And elitist Democrats who want to control Washington have tried to completely ban handguns and most hunting rifles. The NRA said that Barack Obama would be the most anti-gun president in American history. These elitist Democrats just don't understand us, and we can't trust them with our second amendment rights. This call was paid for the the Republican National Committee and McCain/Palin 2008.
user-pic

I've got it on my answering machine, I just don't know how to get it digitized... :-(

user-pic

Where in the state are you located?

user-pic

And Rudy can't be a Real American, either.

user-pic

Are people who receive a Rudy robocall (or the like) legally allowed to record a political message and play it back in a phone call to Rudy's home and/or the funders' offices?

user-pic

I'm not gonna vote for Michele Obama! The woman is dowdy! Frumpy! Why doesn't Michele get a bunch of hot designer fashions for her public appearances? Why? Because she doesn't care about America, that's why! And why won't the Dems. buy her a wardrobe? Cause they hate America! Why, they would have America's First Lady wear a "respectable Republican cloth coat"! Wait a minute, that didn't come out right!

user-pic

I refuse to listen to the recording, but I bet there is a lot of heavy breathing and distant slapping noises.

user-pic

Oh God, thanks for that image.

user-pic

It's safe to assume Obama is not going to drop the hammer on this stuff until he's back from Hawaii on Saturday? Or does his polling show that this is largely ineffective and is willing to let McCain and Campaign swim in this septic tank strategy?

I wonder what McCain is going to drop Thursday afternoon when Obama is mid-flight to Hawaii. I expect he's going to try and bait Biden into an outburst/gaffe. If he's going to drop Rev. Wright, Thursday might be the opportune time as it will go unanswered by Obama for basically two days. (yes I understand he could comment from Hawaii, but he can't give anything more than a brief response).

user-pic

Or does his polling show that this is largely ineffective and is willing to let McCain and Campaign swim in this septic tank strategy?

I vote for this.

I still think Obama will address it, but I don't think this kind of shit is moving any voters to McCain.

user-pic

Jonze, if McLame and Palin don't let up while Obama is at the bedside of his dying grandmother, they are going to be so reviled by so many people -

user-pic

Maybe McShame will "suspend" his campaign again to honor the occasion.

user-pic

Here's my thinking. The more people see Obama in a positive light, the more these silly attacks just bounce off of Obama - and back to mcShame! Then you've got the ones that aren't yet with Obama, those who can be peeled away will get annoyed with so many robo calls and negative attacks. And the basest of the base... well, they're stuck in the muck anyway.

I don't think mcShame can find a way to hurt Obama that doesn't hurt himself worse.

user-pic

I think the mcShame campaign is getting boring. We're back to the same mcLame boring campaign into which he had to inject the Trophy Dame.

Today, to me, feels like a slow news day. Sort like the eye of a storm - dead calm - but with no storm surrounding it.

I think it's the utter emptiness of the republican party. The complete dead-end they've maneuvered into.

How will they ever motivate their people to go out and vote???

user-pic

O god yes!!!!

Waiting for Nov. 4 at this point feels so very much like the last two weeks of the last semester of law school - you know it's over. You know you're going to graduate. And everything slows waaaaaaaaaay dooooowwwwwwwn.

user-pic

It took me a while to sign up, but I just wanted to report that I live in a suburb in Dayton, Ohio and I just got the robocall from Big Rudy. I am beginning to wonder how low they can go. Scratch that! I know they will go lower. Ah, to feel power slipping away - what an intoxicant to do the most outrageous things!

Peace out!

user-pic

McCain's Pal & spokesman, Republican R. Giuliani is going to be laughing all the way to the bank with a piece of the taxpayers $700 Billion

Giuliani's law firm seeking bailout business 26 Sep 2008 In the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has begun drumming up business, positioning his law firm to advise corporate clients on how to profit from the government's $700 billion bailout. Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced it has formed a corporate task force to advise "financial institutions, private investment funds, institutional investors and other market participants" on the costly package. "Our team of former government officials and experienced attorneys in the fields of legislation, enforcement and finance are equipped to guide institutions in this quickly evolving and complex environment," Giuliani said.

user-pic

Yo Rudy:

Shut your fucking lisp up.

user-pic

It's the forked tongue.

user-pic

Just when you think that the RNC can't sink any lower...
http://inthematrix.wordpress.com/

user-pic

These GOP robocalls are so over the top that people don't believe them. I just don't think that these robocalls are that effective. A lot of people have caller ID and just hang up.

user-pic

We live in Ohio and received that call this afternoon, Wednesday...One funny thing about it, I have 'Privacy Manager', so if the call is not identified on the caller ID, I get a message asking if I will accept the call, they must identify themselves first, so, Rudy and his GOP buddies have to hide behind *67 to make their calls of hate? Total cowards...Typical hate mongers...Can't even do their dirty work in the open...Have to hide to get us to answer that call of lies...So angry these losers get...Very disturbing...Mosstly sad and pathetic that McShame and the rest of the GOP can't go out with dignity...But there has been nothing dignified about the McLame/Palin campaign.
Obama/Biden '08 will bring the country back together...You will see. Why do they have to be so hateful when it is a time to try to heal the country, most Americans are hurting right now in one way or another. I am so ashamed of them.

user-pic

Same thing here. My call came in "private name, private number." Well, I actually do have some people I see professionally who call me that way. So I picked up. But no.... it was a robo call.

I'm wondering if previous calls made people so mad that they called the actual phone number on the caller ID. Or else they used whatever feature it is that allows you to phone back the last number called. So then they switched to this.

But your point is a good one. If people are going to do something, they should do it openly, not in the shadows.

user-pic
user-pic

What I want to know is was Rudy in drag when he recorded the message?

user-pic

Never cared for this guy and from the start have always referred to him as GHOULIANI. He is a ghoul in the truest sense of the word. Given the time of year (almost Oct 31st) it is totally appropriate that the GHOUL would rear his UGLY, VISCIOUS pea brain head.

user-pic

Rudy Giuliani is a liar. I rebuke ALL of Rudy's, McCain's, Palin's, and ALL of their supporters evil robocalls against Obama-Biden ticket in the name and blood of Jesus. Additionally, not any of McCain-Palin's WEAK campaign and personal attacks of lies, hatred, fear, racism, and division WILL NEVER PREVAIL against Sen. Obama - this nation's next Commander-in-Chief !!!

It's time for this country to turn the page and seek a new and better future for ourselves and our children. It's time for REAL change in Washington, it's time to elect Barack Obama for president !

Obama-Biden are the wiser and stronger team to solve the crucial challenges we have in this nation and abroad !

Amen.

I understand the disgust with this tactic, but as for the actual subject of this particular point:

Note that Rudy claims Obama "opposes mandatory prison sentences" for rapists and murders, Rudy is actually referring to Obama's opposition to specific mandatory minimum sentences. By dropping the word "minimum," he's insinuating that Obama opposes mandatory prison sentences in general.

My question is purely semantic: If there's no mandatory minimum, then couldn't the minimum be zero? What am I missing?

The tactics employed by both campaigns has not been the greatest. So we the people have reverted to calling McCain a facist. So the next time there is a prisioner of war position open, why don't YOU volunteer for it? MCCain is a patriot and to see the disrespect to a war veteran is apalling. So the race is close, both campaign are using robocalls. Thats been used over the last few elections. As an independent voter I must say Obama comes off sounding like a socialist. Do I call him that? No! Both are facing a tough first year if elected. I tend to go with experience though new ideas are not bad. What has Obama done for this country? He has servved 143 days in congress, and, well, thats it. He has never served in the Armed Forces yet we want to put him in charge of them? I think that's a pretty big leap.

I to am a Vietnam veteran, but I do not have any respect for McCain. There were other POWs that were POWs a lot longer than he was and treated just as bad if not worse. The man has no morals. He is without shame. What I do not understand is why people even listen to this low life who tries to use the fact that he was a POWs as a passport to commit any act he wishes. I have read some pretty bad things about what McCain did while he was a POWs and if any of it at all is true he should have shot for treason not treated as a hero. Vote for this jerk if you want, but as for me I think I will vote for Peter Rabbit. At least he is furry and cute.

Someone previously asked what Rudy has been up to and why he hasn't been on the campaign trail...He recently spoke at a financial leadership conference in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He is planning on opening a branch of his law firm / moving his law firm there as well. If Halliburton can, why not Rudy? Guess they want to escape all those 'socialist' taxes. Dubai is tax-free. Cha-ching! How un-American is that?

Personally i believe no one should be allowed to be a president w/o 1st serving in one of our branches of the military! you shouldn't be commander and chief of something you never were a part of!! besides Obama sounds too much like Osama lol!

Rush Limblahhhh spent all day today talking about how Obama was the same as Mussinlini, Hitler and Marx. Limblahhh also blathered on and on about Obama not having any wisdom or vision and called him an empty suit, even though Limblahhh praised GW Bush as a god who knew everything and nothing Bush could do was wrong. Everyone with an IQ over 40 knows Bush is a complete dunce, without a thought or idea in his brain dead head. But Limblahhh and republicans look at Bush like a god to be worshipped when he should be in prison for the rest of his life for the murder of 4200 American soldiers and almost a million dead innocent Iraqis.

In the words of Achmed, The Dead Terrorist:

"SILENCE! I KILL YOU!"

That would be the best robocall yet! Ha ha!

I wonder if McRobo sent outsourced the robo caller job to Pakistan or India, as that seems to be where all my calls go when I get an answering service . Off topic a little , what makes McMillions think that saying Obama wants to "spread the wealth around " is a convincing argument to his " lets keep it all for ourselves and give the working class peasants cake" plan . Im part of the vast majority of who needs a little of the wealth spread my way so I can maybe keep paying the bills and feeding the kids .

Give me, give me give me give me. All libs want are handouts. Of course you want a dem in the white house. That means higher taxes on successful people to fund liberal BS. Enjoy the handouts. I look forward to Obama being elected as well. At least we have that in common. But you won't see me talking smack on a war veteran just because he happens to be running against someone I want to win. Politicians are scum bags, period. Don't think for a second that Obama isn't resorting to sleazy campaigning himself. Of course you all turn a blind eye to it. Both parties are so pathetic. Think for yourself.

There are what, like 800 postings mostly expressing outrage at the robocall that misleads by saying Obama opposed mandatory sentencing, when in fact he opposes mandatory "minimum" sentencing - which is supposed to be a huge ommission that changes the meaning. That's what this string is about, remember? But no one answered my question: if there's no mandatory MINIMUM sentence, then the minimum sentence can be zero, which is the same as having no sentence. So [smack smack] WAKE UP! There are plenty of reasons to be outraged by our political process. One of them is people so asleep, so ROBO that they can't even assimilate or assess simple information (like the fact that oops, there actually is no outrageous distortion in this particular case) because they are so blinded by their partisanship. They see twelve of every three reasons to be outraged. And only in their direction, like parents at their kids' soccer game, every call by the ref that goes against them is a travesty of justice and every call in their favor is fair and deserved. That's why politics suck. Becuase of people like (most of) you. Intellecutally dishonest, close-minded, self deceptional, and anything but liberal in the true sense of the word.

Here we go, mr. DemandTruth. This is what MAKES the whole argument on minimum sentencing guidelines such an obscene thing to certain people and why there is a lot of people that don't support them. If you get caught snorting cocaine you get 3 years in prison according to minimum sentencing guidelines. If you get caught smoking crack, it's 15 years of prison time according to minimum sentencing guidlines. Same basic drug only cocaine is purer so it costs more, meaning poor versus rich drug users spending time in prison for their drug use. The reason is clear why some people want to change the minimum sentencing guidelines, but with the way the message is put out it doesn't say anything about the problem with the system and why a whole lot of people want it changed or done away with, it says Obama wants to get rid of mandatory sentencing and put rapists, drug dealers, and murderers back on the street with no prison time served. I'm sorry you can't read or listen to the whole ad, but maybe you also can read up on the whole minimum mandatory sentencing guidelines and figure out if you agree with it. And if you still believe Obama would let murderer's back out on the street, think again, because he is one of the few liberals I've seen actually support the death penalty.
