I think it's fallout from being a lawyer, when every time the phone rang it was a problem. That and having taken care of elderly parents. Then every time the phone rang it was a nightmare.

These GOP robocalls are so over the top that people don't believe them. I just don't think that these robocalls are that effective. A lot of people have caller ID and just hang up.

We live in Ohio and received that call this afternoon, Wednesday...One funny thing about it, I have 'Privacy Manager', so if the call is not identified on the caller ID, I get a message asking if I will accept the call, they must identify themselves first, so, Rudy and his GOP buddies have to hide behind *67 to make their calls of hate? Total cowards...Typical hate mongers...Can't even do their dirty work in the open...Have to hide to get us to answer that call of lies...So angry these losers get...Very disturbing...Mosstly sad and pathetic that McShame and the rest of the GOP can't go out with dignity...But there has been nothing dignified about the McLame/Palin campaign.

The tactics employed by both campaigns has not been the greatest. So we the people have reverted to calling McCain a facist. So the next time there is a prisioner of war position open, why don't YOU volunteer for it? MCCain is a patriot and to see the disrespect to a war veteran is apalling. So the race is close, both campaign are using robocalls. Thats been used over the last few elections. As an independent voter I must say Obama comes off sounding like a socialist. Do I call him that? No! Both are facing a tough first year if elected. I tend to go with experience though new ideas are not bad. What has Obama done for this country? He has servved 143 days in congress, and, well, thats it. He has never served in the Armed Forces yet we want to put him in charge of them? I think that's a pretty big leap.

There are what, like 800 postings mostly expressing outrage at the robocall that misleads by saying Obama opposed mandatory sentencing, when in fact he opposes mandatory "minimum" sentencing - which is supposed to be a huge ommission that changes the meaning. That's what this string is about, remember? But no one answered my question: if there's no mandatory MINIMUM sentence, then the minimum sentence can be zero, which is the same as having no sentence. So [smack smack] WAKE UP! There are plenty of reasons to be outraged by our political process. One of them is people so asleep, so ROBO that they can't even assimilate or assess simple information (like the fact that oops, there actually is no outrageous distortion in this particular case) because they are so blinded by their partisanship. They see twelve of every three reasons to be outraged. And only in their direction, like parents at their kids' soccer game, every call by the ref that goes against them is a travesty of justice and every call in their favor is fair and deserved. That's why politics suck. Becuase of people like (most of) you. Intellecutally dishonest, close-minded, self deceptional, and anything but liberal in the true sense of the word.
