Another! New McCain Robo-Slime Call Says Obama Opposed "Protecting Children From Danger"
Whoa. We've just obtained a McCain campaign robo-slime call that slams Dems as "dangerously weak on crime" and hits Barack Obama and his "liberal allies" for having a "disturbing history of coddling criminals."
Worse, the call even insinuates that Obama isn't inclined to protect your kids -- in fact, the call directly alleges that Obama has voted against "protecting children from danger."
A reader in Wisconsin sends in the audio, and a second reader in Indiana reports hearing the call:
Script:
Hello, I'm calling for John McCain and the RNC, because Democrats are dangerously weak on crime. Barack Obama has voted against tougher penalties for street gangs, drug-related crimes, and protecting children from danger. Barack Obama and his liberal allies have a disturbing history of coddling criminals. so we can't trust their judgment to keep our families safe. This call was paid for by the Republican National Committee and McCain-Palin 2008 at 866 558-5591. Thank you, bye
It's unclear what the bit about not protecting kids is a reference to.
This is the third call we've documented today: There was one starring Rudy Giuliani, who suggested that Obama opposes jailing murderers and rapists. And there was a second hitting Obama over the "bitter" comments.
In other words, another huge wave of McCain robo-slime has been unleashed.

I think this is just going to piss people off royally. And rightly so.

I am watching Hardball and apparently Gov Plain and McCain sat down with Brian Williams. Brian WIlliams is telling Matthews that they are going to go all Katie Kuric and release the entire interview over a few days. Interpretation, they have some good stuff.
Chuck Tood was there and said all during the interview (apparently he was in the room), McCain and Plain were giving of negative vibes to each other, like they didnt want to be seated next to each other.
The knives are out. Plain knows this thing is over and she is in 2012 mode and McCain knows it.

OFF THE RAILS
MSNBC just ran what we can only call an extraordinary interview with NBC News' Chuck Todd and Brian Williams. They were discussing the interview NBC just did and will soon broadcast of John McCain and Sarah Palin. We'll have the video shortly but what really stood out was the candidness of Todd's discussion of his sense that the wheels may be coming off the campaign and his willingness to discuss what he saw as the tension between the two candidates speculate that McCain may be starting to blame Palin for his campaign tanking.
That's obviously speculation on Todd's part. But ... Well, wait to see it yourself.

We all know McCain wanted Traitor Joe, but that he Republican muckety-mucks vetoed it. I don't know who picked Sarah Palin, but it never quite seemed like a McCain pick to me. I get the feeling she was foisted on him and if he resented it at the time, he resents it even more now that she's an anchor he's tied to.
And the idea that she'll be a serious candidate in 2012 just makes me laugh. Dan Quayle tried to run for president, too, and the Republican leaders just said "That's nice, Danny, now run along." Sarah Palin has become a punch line, and that's not exactly what you want in a presidential candidate.

Here's my analysis, nutty as it may be. I think McCain is kind of obsessed with Palin. He seems more energized when she's around, he kept snorting about what a great campaigner she was, and lets not forget his fixation with a particular part of her anatomy.
It's an unrequited crush, if you ask me, and that's now starting to wear on McCain. The beautiful running mate, who, lets face it, gets ALL the attention, isn't returning any of the nonverbal signals. Worse, she seems really into her husband, that snowmobling Neanderthal from Alaska.
In any event, I don't think the personal dynamics in the McCain-Palin relationship are particularly healthy.

Holy shit... someone needs to get the clip on Tweetyball of the Brian Williams and Chris Todd segment. Brian, after yammering endlessly on nothing worth listening to, tries to throw Todd a bone to talk about hanging out with the campaign staffers.
Sensing he might not get another chance to talk with Williams and Tweety's egos chewing up the clock, Todd blows that off and goes right to what was most telling to him about the interview:
"Well Chris, and I think this is something that I wouldn't blame Brian for not wanting to say this - there was a tenseness between, first of all between the two there's no chemistry. I couldn't see chemistry between John McCain and Sarah Palin. It was... I felt as if we grabbed two people and said 'Here, sit next to each other. We're going to conduct and interview.' There wasn't, they're not... eh... they're not just... not comfortable with each other, uh, yet. They other thing about it is that you can tell that they know they're losing. They just tell, they're an intensity, they're drained. They entire campaign staff is drained. The two candidates seemed guarded They seem on edge. It's not as if they were rude or anything. It's not as if they weren't trying to be forthcoming. It just seemed... it's a negative intensity. I don't know how else to describe it. But you'll see when you see it the two of them together that the chemistry not all there, and you do wonder is John McCain starting to blame her for things, blaming himself? Is she blaming him? You know, you just wonder what's going on inside their heads. Are they upset with how the other has treated them, and is that why her numbers are low. But whatever it is, it's a negative vibe that you get in that room."
They go back and forth after that, with Tweety of course going to Brian since they're suppose to dominate the segment. When Todd got the mic back, he hammered it again. It's as if Todd knew that wasn't going to be covered in the Nightly News segments on the interview, so he wanted to get out his read on the candidates and the campaign. They know their losing. It's creating a negative vibe. There's no chemistry between the two, and he's wondering if they're starting to blame each other for the Titanic hitting that block of ice.
He also hit some spots later on about the campaign staff about to meltdown inside.
Worth trying to find, though fast forward through the Williams stuff as he has nothing of interest to say as usual.

These robo-calls are highly immature - not just the idea of them, but the scripts themselves sound like they've been written by 6th graders. This is especially true of the "bitter" one.
These attacks aren't working this year (thankfully) because people aren't just tired of them but also because the delivery of them is completely horrid. It's as if, when those doing the attacking, say this stuff with a questioning tone..."hey..I'm saying this, are you gonna believe it?...I'm not sure I do but hey, you could!"
The difference between the attacks in the last two campaigns and this one, it seems,is that Bush genuinely believed in his own lies. When McCain delivers his lines, you can tell he isn't sincere, you can tell he's just saying this stuff 'cause he wants to get elected.
Like everything else in his campaign - Epic Fail.

Thus, I, a person who's never owed a gun, am told that Obama hates me for clinging to my guns! Etc. Fun, fun, for everyone, here in the swing states. Especially in the states where there is no party registration!
I kinda like it that way. For example, in the primary, you could vote for anyone. For example, a few months back, I went and voted for the opponent of Senselessbrenner.

Here in Alaska there is a list of names for people that Palin has thrown under the bus in her short career.
I think I see a northbound Greyhound in McCain's future.

It's time for the American people to get it right and NOT vote for McCain-Palin, instead vote for change. It's time for this country to turn the page and seek a new and better future for ourselves and our children. It's time for REAL change in Washington, it's time to elect Barack Obama for president !
Obama-Biden are the wiser and stronger team to solve the crucial challenges we have in this nation and abroad !
Amen.

Mccain has stooped pretty low and this is only going to hurt him worse. So I guess it is good he is doing this because it is only HELPING Obama who is the one who deserves to be in presidency. Mccain makes bad decisions. As t his robo-slime call demonstrates.
